Clean technology startup YOGa Clean Air has successfully secured ₹20 crore, approximately $2.1 million, in its Series A funding round. The investment was led by Info Edge Ventures and saw participation from Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal and Three Words Capital. This inaugural external funding marks a significant milestone for the company, which aims to provide comprehensive indoor air quality solutions across India.

Strategic Capital Allocation for Expansion

The newly acquired capital is earmarked for a multi-faceted expansion strategy, comprising a mix of primary and secondary transactions. YOGa Clean Air intends to deepen its market penetration in its existing 11 cities while also expanding its footprint into new Tier I and Tier II urban centers. A portion of the funds will also be dedicated to pioneering clean air solutions for public transport and other outdoor environments.

With this financial backing, the company is poised for substantial growth and has set ambitious financial targets for the near future. Sachin Panwar, the founder and CEO of YOGa Clean Air, stated that the startup is aiming to achieve ₹100 crore in revenue this year. This projection underscores the company's confidence in its scaling capabilities and the increasing market demand for effective air purification.

Innovative Clean Air Technology

At the core of YOGa's offering is its patented Clean Air Bubble technology, which provides a holistic solution unlike conventional purifiers. The system works by filtering outdoor air before it enters a building and then maintaining positive air pressure indoors. This innovative approach effectively prevents polluted air from seeping in through gaps while also managing indoor carbon dioxide levels for freshness.

The system's efficacy has been independently validated by IIT Delhi, demonstrating its ability to reduce indoor air quality metrics to single digits even when external pollution is severe. The company holds two patents for this technology, which operates efficiently using about 70 watts of electricity during continuous use. This combination of performance and efficiency sets its solution apart in the clean air market.

Business Model and Market Presence

YOGa Clean Air operates on a service-led model rather than focusing on one-time hardware sales, fostering long-term customer relationships. This approach has resulted in a 100% renewal rate on its annual maintenance contracts, driven largely by customer referrals. The company currently serves over 5,000 families, schools, offices, and hospitals, including government institutions like parts of the Delhi High Court.

The company is also experiencing a strategic shift in its customer base, moving from a predominantly retail focus to larger business-to-business engagements. Significant orders are now coming from large-scale real estate projects and other major institutions. This transition reflects a growing awareness and demand for integrated clean air solutions in commercial and residential developments across the country.

Market Context and Competitive Landscape

This funding arrives as persistent air pollution in India fuels a rising demand for advanced indoor air quality solutions beyond traditional purifiers. The Indian air purifier market is projected to grow into a $1.2 billion opportunity by 2030, creating a fertile ground for innovation. YOGa Clean Air competes with other domestic startups like Airth and Clairco, each offering unique approaches to air purification.

Ultimately, this Series A funding equips YOGa Clean Air to accelerate its mission of making clean air accessible throughout India. The investment will enable the company to scale its patented technology, expand its operational reach, and solidify its position as a key player in the burgeoning clean-tech sector. This development promises a healthier indoor environment for a much broader segment of the population.
