Manus and OPPO announced on October 13, 2026 that they are working together to bring next-generation agentic AI experiences to smartphones. The partnership will integrate Manus agentic capabilities into OPPO AI Mind Pilot, allowing users to turn complex multi-step tasks into ready-to-use results. The collaboration also supports OPPO's vision of Personalized Proactive Intelligence, where AI understands users and proactively helps them complete tasks.

Executive Perspectives

Tao Zhang, cofounder and CPO of Manus, said smartphones sit at the center of daily life and are a natural platform for personal AI agents. He added that combining Manus agentic capabilities with OPPO's system-level integration can make advanced AI agents more accessible. Kai Tang, president of software engineering at OPPO, said agentic AI marks a shift from answering questions to providing concrete help in completing tasks.

How AI Mind Pilot Works

OPPO AI Mind Pilot is designed to move well beyond simple question-and-answer interactions. It can understand a user's final goal, break it down into smaller steps, identify relevant information, select appropriate tools, and deliver a finished result. The system can also work directly with files and photos that are stored on the device.

Travel Planning Example

For travel planning, a user can ask AI Mind Pilot to organize trip plans. The system finds flight tickets, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, and attraction tickets scattered across different apps on the smartphone. It then combines this information with relevant online content to create a personalized day-by-day itinerary without requiring users to gather or upload files themselves.

Creative and Professional Use Cases

The same capabilities support everyday creative and professional tasks. Users can ask AI Mind Pilot to find and organize photos from a trip, locate specific images, or gather existing files and online information to create a presentation, proposal, portfolio, or other ready-to-use content. The process is designed to work with a single prompt.

Privacy and User Protections

As AI shifts from providing information to working with personal context and completing tasks, privacy, security, and user control become more important. OPPO ColorOS 17 uses on-device models to understand and organize relevant information locally. For local tasks such as searching, organizing, or renaming files and photos, the original content remains on the device and is not shared with Manus.

External Processing Controls

When a task requires external processing, AI Mind Pilot asks for explicit confirmation before relevant content is uploaded or shared. Users keep control over what information is accessed, what actions are taken, and whether external processing is allowed. OPPO and Manus aim to improve agentic AI through on-device processing and transparent authorization while emphasizing user choice and control.

Availability

The Manus-powered capabilities inside AI Mind Pilot will make their debut on the OPPO Find X10 series running ColorOS 17. Additional information about availability, supported markets, and user benefits will be shared when the product is officially launched. The companies have not provided further details on regional rollout schedules at this stage.

The collaboration between Manus and OPPO reflects the growing push to embed agentic AI directly into smartphone software. By combining Manus agent capabilities with OPPO's system-level integration, the two companies are working to make personal AI more proactive, practical, and accessible. Users can expect an AI experience that moves from answering questions to completing tasks, with privacy and control as core design priorities.
