Yellow Card, a financial infrastructure provider focused on stablecoin-enabled payments and treasury, has named Ross Everett as its new Group Chief Financial Officer. The appointment brings a finance leader with experience across digital banking, traditional financial services, and high-growth technology companies. His arrival is expected to strengthen financial oversight as the company continues to expand beyond Africa.

A Seasoned Finance Executive

Everett joins Yellow Card after holding finance leadership positions at Monzo Bank and Deutsche Bank, and he has also worked with Barclays and KPMG. At Monzo, he served as Group Financial Controller, where he focused on financial reporting, control, and governance. His career has combined the discipline of established financial institutions with the pace of digital banking and growth focused technology businesses.

Mandate for Global Financial Leadership

In his new role, Everett will lead Yellow Card’s global finance function and play a central role in supporting continued international expansion. His remit covers financial strategy, planning and performance, reporting, treasury, capital management, and financial governance. The position is designed to help the company scale its infrastructure across new and existing international markets.

Expansion Following Strategic Funding

The appointment comes after Yellow Card secured a $40 million strategic funding round, which the company directed toward expansion into Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Yellow Card provides infrastructure that enables banks, fintechs, and multinational companies to access U.S. dollars, manage treasury, and move money across borders using stablecoins. The firm supports more than 50 currencies and counts Visa and Western Union among its customers.

Executive Perspective on the Opportunity

Everett said the company has built infrastructure to address a challenge every cross-border business understands, moving money quickly, cheaply, and reliably. He noted that global reach, a strong platform, and real customer need attracted him to the role. Having built financial discipline behind hypergrowth in previous roles, he said his focus is now on creating the same foundations at Yellow Card so the company can scale without losing rigor.

CEO Comments on Leadership Needs

Chris Maurice, Co-Founder and CEO of Yellow Card, said that as stablecoin infrastructure moves from promise to scale, the company needs financial leadership that can keep pace. He added that Everett has built that discipline before and will build it at Yellow Card. Maurice described the appointment as a further strengthening of the company’s executive leadership team.

Broader Industry Significance

Yellow Card’s expansion reflects the growing role of stablecoins in cross-border payments and dollar liquidity, particularly in emerging markets. The company has built its business on emerging-market coverage and now seeks to grow its global footprint with stronger financial governance. Everett’s appointment signals a focus on institutional readiness as the company works with large partners and enters new regions.

A Foundation for Scale

Beyond day-to-day finance operations, Everett’s responsibilities will include supporting strategic decisions around capital management and treasury as the business grows. His background in regulated banking environments may help Yellow Card maintain rigorous control as it expands into more jurisdictions. The leadership addition also reflects the company’s broader effort to professionalize its operations during a period of rapid international growth.

The appointment of Ross Everett as Group CFO marks an important step in Yellow Card’s transition from a regional leader to a global stablecoin infrastructure provider. His experience across banking and technology finance is aligned with the company’s need for disciplined growth and international expansion. By strengthening its finance function, Yellow Card is positioning itself to manage larger capital flows, deeper partnerships, and a broader regulatory footprint in the next phase of its development.
