Wandercraft announced on October 1, 2026, that it has acquired Ekso Bionics, Inc. from a subsidiary of ChronoScale Holdings Corporation, uniting two established leaders in robotic mobility under one organization. The companies bring complementary technologies, regulatory clearances, and decades of combined experience to help more people stand, walk, and participate fully in everyday life. Together, they form what the companies described as the world’s leading medical exoskeleton company, with expanded clinical expertise, product breadth, and global reach.

Strategic Combination of Robotic Mobility Leaders

The acquisition pairs Wandercraft’s expertise in advanced robotics and physical AI with Ekso Bionics’ strong United States presence, extensive clinical experience, and commercial reach. Both organizations have been trailblazers in medical exoskeletons, driving technological innovation, research and development, and clinical research across rehabilitation and personal mobility. The combination creates a global robotics business with a broader portfolio spanning the continuum of care, from hospital-based rehabilitation to everyday personal use.

Leadership Perspectives

Wandercraft Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Matthieu Masselin said the two organizations share a vision for how robotics can empower people whose mobility has been unfairly limited by injury or disease. He noted that both companies have pioneered advanced technologies that help people stand, walk, and participate more fully in daily life. Masselin added that bringing together products, teams, and clinical relationships on both sides of the Atlantic creates an exceptional opportunity to expand access to robotic mobility worldwide.

Product Portfolio and Clinical Reach

Atalante X and EksoNR currently support patients in standing and walking at more than 700 rehabilitation centers worldwide. These complementary platforms hold U.S. FDA clearances and CE marking covering stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and acquired brain injury. For personal use, Eve delivers Wandercraft’s hands-free, self-balancing technology in the home, while Indego Personal offers a modular wearable exoskeleton, and the company intends to continue supporting all four products.

Market Access and Reimbursement

The acquisition reinforces Wandercraft’s ability to expand market access and deploy personal exoskeletons efficiently around the world. Patients are already receiving training at the Walk in New York by Wandercraft rehabilitation center, and a dedicated access team helps users and their care teams navigate benefits, documentation, reimbursement, financing, and coordination with clinicians and payers. For eligible individuals in the United States, Medicare covers qualifying personal exoskeletons under its brace benefit category, billed under HCPCS code K1007, and the combined company will advocate for broader coverage worldwide.

Enhanced Customer Support

The combination also enhances customer service through a broader international network and shared clinical expertise. Rehabilitation centers can now consult specialists with experience in both Atalante X and EksoNR to identify the best solutions for their patients. The organization will maintain dedicated, product-specific support while applying combined knowledge across its expanded portfolio.

Transaction Details

The boards of directors of Wandercraft and ChronoScale Holdings Corporation unanimously approved the transaction, and the agreement was signed and closed simultaneously. This structure enables the combined company to move quickly in aligning product development, clinical relationships, and commercial operations under a single global strategy for robotic mobility. Additional financial terms were not disclosed, and the organizations emphasized the strategic value of the combination rather than the transaction economics.

The acquisition establishes Wandercraft as a global leader in medical exoskeletons with a portfolio that supports patients from rehabilitation through personal mobility. By integrating complementary technologies, regulatory clearances, and market access capabilities, the combined company is well positioned to serve more clinicians and individuals worldwide. The transaction reinforces a long-term commitment to helping people stand, walk, and participate more fully in everyday life.
