TrollWall AI has acquired Slovak rival Elv.ai. The deal is closed and Elv.ai's clients have moved to the TrollWall AI platform. The acquired startup had processed more than 80 million comments.

Deal context

TrollWall AI raised €800,000 six months before the deal. It plans to expand in Europe and the US. The company also aims to lead global comment moderation.

Shared origins

Both companies were founded in 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine. Elv.ai began as a volunteer project called Elfovia.sk at New School Communications. TrollWall AI's founders built the product after manually moderating hateful comments for a European Parliament vice president.

Platform capabilities

TrollWall AI automatically hides toxic comments on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. It works around the clock in 20 languages. Clients can also use TrollWall AI MCP to moderate comments in Claude or ChatGPT.

TrollWall AI operates in 17 countries. Its clients include the International Ice Hockey Federation, AC Sparta Praha, Ringier, and the Czech Police. Elv.ai's former users now receive access to agentic community management and enterprise-grade security.
