Selbetti, a prominent Brazilian technology solutions provider, has initiated its 2026 expansion strategy with the acquisition of Zecode Technology for an undisclosed amount. This marks the company's 45th acquisition since 2014, underscoring a consistent growth-through-acquisition approach that continues to shape its market position. The integration of Zecode, a firm with over 25 years of expertise in data capture solutions, is a pivotal step in Selbetti's mission to build a comprehensive and integrated technology ecosystem.

Strategic Integration and Market Positioning

Zecode Technology, previously part of the Beontag group, will now be integrated into Selbetti's Label Solutions business unit, significantly enhancing its service delivery in critical operational areas. The São Paulo-based company specializes in managing scales, thermal printers, data collectors, and readers, contributing an annual revenue of approximately R$ 25 million. With its team of over 80 professionals and a robust portfolio of more than 55 clients, Zecode brings valuable expertise and market presence to the Selbetti group.

Bridging Physical and Digital Operations

According to Selbetti CEO Junior Selbach, this acquisition directly addresses a growing market demand for a reliable bridge between physical operations and digital management systems. He explained that devices once considered peripheral, such as readers and collectors, are now critical data generation points in retail, logistics, and industrial environments. Failing to integrate these elements properly creates information silos and operational bottlenecks that can negatively impact everything from inventory control to the end-customer experience.

The synergy between Selbetti and Zecode is expected to deliver immediate value in sectors that depend on precise, real-time data capture for operational excellence. For example, in supermarket settings, Zecode's expertise in integrating scales with pricing systems directly impacts loss prevention and sales data consistency. Similarly, in logistics and distribution centers, its solutions for readers and data collectors are fundamental for accurate inventory tracking, movement registration, and overall supply chain visibility.

A Vision for Growth and Future Acquisitions

This latest acquisition signals the continuation of Selbetti's aggressive growth strategy, with the company planning to invest between R$ 80 million and R$ 100 million in five to six more acquisitions this year. The M&A pipeline is already active, with two additional deals reportedly in their final stages of negotiation for completion within the first half of the year. These targets include a production planning software company in Minas Gerais and a billing and account monitoring software firm from São Paulo.

Selbetti's robust M&A activity is a cornerstone of its ambitious financial roadmap, which targets R$ 900 million in revenue for 2026 and aims to surpass the R$ 1 billion milestone by 2027. The company's acquisition focus is strategically aligned with strengthening its newly established divisions for artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity. This clear direction highlights Selbetti's commitment to evolving its capabilities and solidifying its leadership position in the competitive technology services landscape.

The strategic acquisition of Zecode Technology is a definitive step in Selbetti's journey to solidify its "One-Stop-Tech" value proposition for the market. By integrating specialized data capture technology, the company not only broadens its portfolio but also deepens its ability to solve complex, real-world business challenges for its clients. This move reinforces Selbetti's market leadership and ensures it remains on a firm trajectory to achieve its significant growth and revenue goals.
