Overfuel, an AI-native automotive technology platform, has announced a $6 million growth equity investment from Comedor Capital, an Austin-based growth equity firm. The funding will support AI-powered product development, new talent acquisition, and continued scaling across the business. Overfuel also intends to reinforce the high-touch customer service that has become a defining part of its reputation.

Investment Follows Significant Dealer Adoption

The investment follows a period of rapid expansion for Overfuel, which has grown its dealership website count by more than 225 percent over the past two years. Comedor Capital focuses on founder-led software and AI-enabled services companies, pairing growth capital with hands-on operating support. This support is intended to help Overfuel bring AI more deeply into the products dealerships use every day.

Leadership Perspective on the Opportunity

Overfuel CEO Alex Griffis said dealership technology has spent too long adding complexity and calling it innovation. He explained that Overfuel was built to reduce shopper friction, deliver measurable performance, and give dealers the technology, data, and expertise needed to compete and grow. Griffis added that the company sees the future as AI-first and API-first, with this investment providing capacity to advance the platform, invest in people, and raise the bar for customer support.

Platform Built for Inventory-Driven Dealerships

Overfuel serves inventory-driven dealerships across Automotive, RV, Powersports, and Commercial Truck segments. The platform brings together performance-first websites, AI-powered shopping assistance, advanced analytics, local visibility and reputation tools, inventory management and syndication, and digital retailing. It is also certified in multiple OEM programs, reflecting its fit for demanding dealership environments.

Performance Gains and Measurable Results

Overfuel has engineered its websites for speed and performance, with an optimization approach that reduces load times and bandwidth requirements by more than 90 percent. Industry research shows that every second of faster load time can increase shopper engagement by 11 percent. Optimized sites are also associated with 21 percent higher engagement overall, according to the company.

Comedor Capital's Investment Thesis

Bradley McBride, Managing Partner of Comedor Capital, said Overfuel represents exactly what the firm looks for in a partnership. He described the company as a founder-led, capital-efficient business using technology to solve a real and costly problem for its customers. McBride added that the team has deep dealership operations knowledge and a disciplined, performance-first approach to product.

Priorities for AI and Talent Expansion

The new capital will be directed toward accelerating AI-powered product development and hiring exceptional talent across engineering, product, and customer success functions. Overfuel has operated with capital efficiency, and this investment is intended to expand capacity without changing the company's disciplined approach. Leaders said the focus will remain on reducing complexity for dealership teams and improving measurable outcomes.

Commitment to Customer Experience

For Overfuel customers, the partnership means more of what they already rely on, including continued product innovation and dedicated customer service. The company plans to scale while preserving the measurable results and support quality that have contributed to its growth. As the platform expands, dealers can expect AI-driven improvements without losing the focus on everyday usability.

With this $6 million growth investment, Overfuel is positioned to accelerate its AI-first strategy and expand its team while maintaining the customer focus that has distinguished the company. The backing from Comedor Capital validates Overfuel's performance-driven approach to dealership technology. As the automotive industry continues to embrace digital tools, Overfuel aims to deliver a more intelligent, connected, and open platform for dealers.
