OuterSignal, an agentic customer intelligence platform based in New York, has announced a US$22 million Series A funding round co-led by Long Journey Ventures and Abstract Ventures. The company said the new capital will support deeper research, expanded personalization, and team growth across engineering, go-to-market, operations, and customer experience. The announcement follows a January 2026 launch and rapid adoption among consumer businesses.

Funding Round Overview

The Series A was co-led by Long Journey Ventures and Abstract Ventures, with participation from BAM Ventures, Top Shelf Ventures, SuperAngel.Fund, and Jerry Yang's AME Cloud Ventures. A group of angel investors also joined the round, including Dave Heath, Sahil Bloom, Nik Sharma, and dozens of executives from OuterSignal's customer base. OuterSignal said the financing provides resources to continue building person-level personalization across billions of touchpoints.

Platform Capabilities and Customer Intelligence

OuterSignal helps brands understand who their customers are by using public context to build a fuller picture of the person behind each purchase. It connects to a brand's commerce platform or CRM, then powers segments, VIP alerts, personalized campaigns, and advertising audiences. Its agents put that intelligence to work across influencer partnerships, lifecycle marketing, acquisition, and product teams.

Early Market Traction

Since its launch in January 2026, OuterSignal has grown rapidly and now supports thousands of consumer businesses and hundreds of millions of orders. Customers on the platform include AG1, HexClad, Jones Road Beauty, True Classic, Jomashop, Lucy, Gratsi, and Magic Mind. The company reports measurable improvements in retention, acquisition, conversion, and influencer marketing for brands using its tools.

Leadership and Customer Commentary

Co-founder and CEO Zach Zelner said OuterSignal was built to solve the customer intelligence problem he experienced while running consumer businesses over the past 15 years. He added that generative AI makes truly one-to-one experiences possible, but only when brands understand each individual. Lee Jacobs of Long Journey Ventures also described OuterSignal as a company that no consumer brand will want to run without.

Customer Validation

HexClad Director of Retention Noah Pine said OuterSignal has given his team a clearer picture of customers and uncovered many creators who already use HexClad products. AG1 and Jones Road Beauty leaders likewise credited the platform with revealing distinct audiences and previously unknown creators. These testimonials highlight how OuterSignal moves brands from broad messaging to more targeted and authentic engagement.

Investor Confidence

Ramtin Naimi, Founder and General Partner at Abstract Ventures, said OuterSignal's platform unlocks a new paradigm for agentic personalization. He said its growth has been remarkable and that Abstract Ventures is proud to back the company as it powers more delightful marketing experiences. This investor confidence reflects broader interest in AI tools that unify customer data and personalized marketing workflows.

Growth Plans

OuterSignal will use the new funding to deepen its research engine, build personalization features that generate a unique version of every message for every customer, and expand its team. Hiring will focus on engineering, go-to-market, operations, and customer experience roles. The company also plans to continue scaling its platform for consumer businesses seeking more effective customer acquisition and retention.

By turning public context into actionable customer profiles, OuterSignal is positioning itself as a core infrastructure layer for agentic personalization. The Series A round validates both the technology and the market demand for more individualized commerce experiences. As the company scales its team and product capabilities, it aims to help brands treat every customer, from the gym enthusiast to the new parent, as a known individual rather than a stranger.
