Osavul, an AI-driven hybrid threat intelligence company headquartered in Luxembourg, has raised €8.5 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by 33N Ventures, with participation from Balnord, G+D Ventures, and existing investor 42CAP. The company announced on October 1, 2026, that the capital brings its total funding to approximately €12 million.

Funding and Growth Momentum

The Series A round was led by 33N Ventures, a Europe-based investor focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and dual-use defense. Balnord, G+D Ventures, and 42CAP also joined the round, reflecting confidence from both new and existing backers. Osavul intends to use the financing to expand its enterprise client base while deepening its government and defense work worldwide.

The company’s commercial momentum is accelerating, with total contract value growing fourfold in 2025. Osavul now serves government, defense, and security institutions in more than 10 countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, the United States, and Asia Pacific markets. It is also one of three technology companies delivering NATO’s Information Environment Assessment Capability.

Platform Built for Hybrid Threats

Osavul’s AI platform analyzes open and privileged data to detect hostile intent across information, cyber, and physical domains before threats materialize. The technology was initially developed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine and has been refined through years of work alongside defense, cyber, and information security units. Assessments are evidence-traced, analyst-reviewed, and deployable on-premise within sovereign infrastructure so sensitive data remains under customer control.

The company was co-founded by Ukrainians Dmytro Plieshakov and Dmytro Bilash, who previously sold Captain Growth to Perion. Their experience includes attributing live hostile campaigns alongside defense and security institutions. Osavul states that this operational background provides commercial customers with unique intelligence capabilities that general security tools cannot readily replicate.

Executive and Investor Views

Co-founder and CEO Dmytro Plieshakov said hybrid attacks now affect companies running energy, airports, ports, transport, and finance, not just governments. He explained that operators often face the same adversaries without the means to see threats coming. Osavul plans to keep working with governments and defense institutions while bringing its intelligence capability to critical commercial enterprises.

Co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer Dmytro Bilash noted that Osavul was built under live operational conditions and now serves customers worldwide from Luxembourg. He said demand is strongest in regions facing conflict and instability, where sovereign and multi-language intelligence is most critical. Investors also described the company as connecting information, cyber, and physical security in a way that most siloed tools cannot.

Market Context and Expansion

Rising geopolitical tensions have intensified hybrid activity from state-linked actors, including cyberattacks, sabotage, espionage, and information manipulation. More than 150 state-linked incidents have been recorded across Europe since 2022, with similar patterns affecting energy, aviation, and shipping assets in the Middle East and Asia. Governments cannot protect every target, and many corporate security teams were built only for cyber or physical risk.

The new funding will support deeper AI capabilities, a stronger commercial organization, and expansion into new markets and sectors. Osavul aims to become the intelligence layer that governments, defense organizations, and critical businesses rely on to spot and prevent hostile intent before it strikes. The platform is already used by NATO and by defense enterprises and governments worldwide.

Osavul’s latest funding round highlights rising demand for hybrid threat intelligence that spans information, cyber, and physical domains. With support from 33N Ventures, Balnord, G+D Ventures, and 42CAP, the Luxembourg-based company is scaling technology proven in conflict and trusted by NATO. Total funding of approximately €12 million positions Osavul to serve both sovereign institutions and the commercial operators that keep critical infrastructure running.
