NEXUS has entered a strategic partnership with Fasset FZE, a Dubai-based digital finance company, to build stablecoin-based financial infrastructure and broaden cross-border payment capabilities. The memorandum of understanding was signed on September 30 during Korea Blockchain Week 2026, an industry event focused on blockchain innovation and digital assets. The agreement spans payment system integration, stablecoin settlement, and co-branded digital financial products across multiple markets.

Strategic Agreement at KBW 2026

Under the agreement, the two companies will review a range of cooperative initiatives designed to connect their respective payment and financial platforms. Their shared goal is to move value more seamlessly across global markets by linking payments, settlement systems, and digital asset infrastructure. The agreement also establishes a framework for regular technical and commercial exchange, allowing both firms to test new models for cross-border financial services.

Payment Integration and Joint Proof of Concept

The partnership's payment workstream centers on a joint proof of concept connecting NEXUS payment infrastructure with Fasset's fiat-to-digital asset conversion technology. The companies will evaluate how these systems can work together to enable faster and more efficient transaction flows for consumers and businesses. The initiative is expected to validate the technical feasibility of integrated payment and settlement services across different financial rails and regional markets.

Stablecoin Task Force for AED and KRW

In the stablecoin area, NEXUS and Fasset will form a joint task force that meets quarterly to guide their work. The task force will define the direction of infrastructure for stablecoins linked to the United Arab Emirates dirham and the South Korean won. This forum is intended to help both companies align their technical roadmaps and develop settlement models that serve real economic activity and reduce friction in cross-border payments.

Fasset's Licensed Digital Finance Platform

Fasset operates an AI-powered, stablecoin-based digital finance platform from its headquarters in Dubai. The company obtained a VASP license from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in 2023 and now supports more than 3 million wallets and over 1,000 enterprise clients across 125 countries. In August, it raised a US$68 million Series C led by SBI Group at a US$1 billion valuation.

NEXUS and the ONE Ecosystem

NEXUS is building infrastructure that connects distribution, payment, and settlement for games and digital content through the ONE ecosystem. The company incorporated ONE Store as a subsidiary in June, securing a stronger content distribution base and a larger user network across digital platforms. By extending its existing fiat-centered payment infrastructure into stablecoins, NEXUS aims to support global expansion and create new transaction pathways for developers and content providers.

Executive Views on Stablecoin Adoption

Fasset CEO Mohammad Raafi Hossain said the partnership brings any-to-any banking closer to reality by connecting payments, settlement, and different financial rails in a more flexible way. NEXUS CEO Henry Chang emphasized that stablecoin competitiveness depends on real use cases and distribution rather than issuance alone. Both executives framed the collaboration as a practical step toward broader financial connectivity and more seamless movement of value across the Middle East and Asia.

The partnership positions NEXUS and Fasset to pursue an integrated stablecoin-based financial model spanning Asia and the Middle East. It combines licensed digital asset infrastructure, enterprise distribution capabilities, and digital content demand through the ONE ecosystem. The collaboration signals growing momentum for stablecoin adoption in real-world payment and settlement networks across global markets and provides a foundation for future product development.
