Munich-based HR technology startup Ahron has completed a €2.2 million funding round to advance its AI agent platform for automating human resources processes across fragmented enterprise systems. The round was led by Cusp Capital, with participation from Superangels and HR-focused business angels including Sabine Kohleisen, former board member for human resources at Mercedes-Benz Group. Ahron plans to use the capital to develop its central control layer and expand internationally.

Founders and Investor Backing

Ahron was founded at the end of 2025 by CEO Carl Hoffmann and COO Rado Pavlov, both experienced HR technology entrepreneurs. Hoffmann previously built Talentry, a recruiting technology company acquired by CleverConnect in 2022, while Pavlov has developed several software startups focused on secure AI systems. Investor Sabine Kohleisen said she was convinced by the approach of giving companies visibility over processes without replacing existing systems.

Addressing Fragmented HR Systems

Large organizations often use well over 100 different HR tools with limited connectivity, creating slow workflows, high costs, and poor process visibility. Ahron positions itself not as another standalone tool but as a layer that sits across the existing HR software landscape to coordinate AI agents. This layer makes end-to-end processes visible and ensures that agents can handle tasks such as collecting feedback from hiring managers, checking payroll runs, and managing employee onboarding.

Celonis Partnership and Digital Twin

A central element of Ahron's platform is its partnership with Celonis. The company uses Celonis process intelligence technology to create a digital twin of HR processes from data already held in existing systems. This model helps Ahron identify where AI can add value and gives its AI agents the operational context they need to complete tasks across recruiting, payroll, and onboarding.

Governance for Sensitive HR Work

Because HR data is sensitive, Ahron is developing a central control layer where companies can define policies and guardrails for AI agents. Rado Pavlov, co-founder and chief operating officer, said agents working independently in HR need clear rules to ensure they always act within company guidelines. The platform applies these controls consistently across every process and every agent.

Early Revenue and Customer Validation

Since the start of the year, Ahron has generated more than €1 million in annual recurring revenue and secured customers across the United States and Europe. The company already counts DHL and Celonis among its users, providing early validation for a startup less than one year old. Customers measure success by faster processes, lower costs, and HR teams focusing on leadership, development, and culture.

Funding to Support Expansion

The fresh capital will be used primarily for product development, with particular emphasis on the central control layer that supplies context to AI agents. Ahron also plans to pursue international expansion beyond its current base. The governance layer represents both a technical and commercial challenge because HR and compliance teams are often cautious adopters of autonomous software.

Ahron's funding round highlights growing investor interest in AI platforms that address enterprise process fragmentation rather than isolated tasks. By combining Celonis process intelligence with a governance framework, the company aims to give HR teams both automation and control. Its early revenue and customer base suggest the approach is resonating with large organizations seeking more efficient, accountable HR operations.
