Indian Walker, a Delhi-based carry-first streetwear brand, has raised its first institutional funding through an undisclosed pre-seed round from Palette Wealth Management. The investment values the company at Rs 20 crore post-money, providing an early capital base for planned inventory and marketplace expansion. Indian Walker operates under CoFounder Circle Venture Studio, a consumer venture studio founded by entrepreneur Darpan Sanghvi, and the brand focuses on backpacks and other everyday carry products for daily commuting.

Use of Funds and Strategic Priorities

The fresh capital will be directed primarily toward inventory expansion, the introduction of new stock-keeping units under the Level Up collection, and the development of core product categories. Indian Walker also intends to strengthen its core team by hiring across marketing, social media, and operations to support growing demand. These priorities are designed to improve operational capacity and help the company scale its direct-to-consumer business and marketplace presence.

Product Positioning and Early Traction

Founded last year by Md. Sakib, Indian Walker focuses on backpacks and other carry products that are designed for daily commuting, convenience, and contemporary streetwear appeal. Its core backpack range is priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000, placing the brand firmly in the mid-premium segment of the market. The Level Up collection, led by the Stride backpack, has sold more than 10,000 units since its launch, according to company data, signaling early demand.

Channel Expansion from Direct Website to Marketplaces

Indian Walker currently sells its products through its direct-to-consumer website and is now preparing to significantly widen its distribution network. The company plans to launch on Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra in the next quarter while also exploring quick commerce and other marketplace channels. This multi-channel approach is expected to help the brand reach new customers beyond its existing online platform and strengthen its retail footprint.

Two-Year Growth Targets

Over the next 24 months, Indian Walker is targeting Rs 100 crore in annual recurring revenue and aims to build a customer base of more than one lakh. The company's planned hiring across marketing, social media, and operations will be central to achieving these goals and improving brand visibility. The fresh funding is expected to support the operational scale required for this rapid expansion and the planned entry into new sales channels.

Streetwear Market and Broader Funding Activity

Indian Walker operates within India's streetwear and contemporary fashion segment, which includes brands such as Bluorng, Huemn, Six5Six, Almost Gods, Gully Labs, The Souled Store, and Freakins. The segment has seen continued investor interest, with Snitch raising around Rs 340 crore, or $40 million, in a round led by 360 ONE Asset last year. Gully Labs also secured Rs 30 crore in a Series A round in January 2026, led by Saama Capital with participation from Zeropearl VC.

Investment Significance and Next Steps

The pre-seed round gives Indian Walker its first institutional capital base and validates the company's early traction in the carry-first streetwear category. Backing from Palette Wealth Management and the CoFounder Circle Venture Studio provides both strategic and operational support as the brand scales. With inventory expansion and marketplace launches planned, the company is positioning itself to compete more broadly in the growing streetwear and contemporary fashion market.

Indian Walker's first institutional round strengthens its ability to expand beyond its direct-to-consumer roots and pursue a larger share of India's streetwear market. The company is combining product development, team building, and new marketplace partnerships to reach its stated revenue and customer targets. With early sales momentum and a clear growth plan, the brand is entering its next phase with greater financial and strategic support.
