HyperGuest, a hotel distribution technology specialist, has secured a US$25 million investment from private equity firm Apax. The funding is intended to accelerate the company’s international expansion and strengthen its technology platform as artificial intelligence reshapes travel distribution. The deal marks a significant milestone for a company that was also named a PhocusWire Hot 25 Travel Startup for 2025.

Strategic Investment and Expansion Plans

The new capital will support HyperGuest’s push into additional international markets while deepening investment in its technology platform. The company said it will focus on tools that help hoteliers compete more effectively as AI-driven distribution becomes more prominent. Apax brings experience scaling technology businesses globally, with prior investments including Guesty and a majority stake in IBS Software acquired in 2023.

HyperGuest plans to use the funding to enhance the direct connection between hotels and travel distributors amid rapid changes in distribution. The investment is expected to help the company expand its reach across multiple regions and improve its product capabilities. The focus on AI reflects a wider industry shift toward automation, personalization, and more efficient revenue management.

Company Background and Market Position

HyperGuest enables hotels to connect directly with travel distributors, including online travel agencies, tour operators, travel management companies, and bedbanks. The company was founded in 2020 and recently crossed US$1 billion in total transaction value. Its approach aims to remove friction in hotel commerce by allowing hotels and travel companies to work together directly, quickly, and at scale.

The platform addresses a long-standing challenge in hospitality: fragmented distribution channels and limited direct connectivity. By simplifying these connections, HyperGuest helps hoteliers reduce dependency on manual processes and improve control over inventory and pricing. Its recognition as a PhocusWire Hot 25 Travel Startup for 2025 highlights the company’s growing influence in the travel technology ecosystem.

Executive Perspectives

Nir Yaron, co-founder and CEO of HyperGuest, said the company was built around the idea that hotels and travel companies should be able to work together directly, quickly, and at scale. He described the investment as a major milestone that will help accelerate the company’s ambition to transform hotel commerce globally. Zehavit Cohen, partner at Apax Partners, said HyperGuest is solving one of hospitality’s fundamental challenges with differentiated technology and impressive momentum.

Apax’s involvement could provide more than capital, given the firm’s history of supporting technology companies through global expansion. Its investment in Guesty and majority acquisition of IBS Software demonstrate a track record in travel and hospitality technology. This experience may help HyperGuest navigate complex international markets and scale its operations more efficiently.

Funding History and Market Momentum

HyperGuest announced Series A funding of US$23 million in 2023, which was earmarked to accelerate growth and enhance services for hoteliers and travel providers. The latest US$25 million investment follows that earlier round and signals continued confidence from institutional backers. The company’s recent milestone of surpassing US$1 billion in total transaction value underscores its growing role in hotel distribution.

HyperGuest’s new funding round highlights the growing importance of direct connectivity and data-driven tools in the hospitality sector. With Apax’s support, the company is well positioned to expand its global footprint and strengthen its technology offering. The investment reflects broader momentum in travel technology as hoteliers seek more efficient ways to manage distribution and reach customers.
