Asaas, a leading financial platform for small businesses, has announced its largest acquisition to date with the R$ 150 million purchase of HelenaCRM. This strategic transaction integrates a conversational CRM solution into Asaas's ecosystem, aiming to enhance its offerings for over 300,000 clients. The move signals a significant step in the company's mission to provide a comprehensive operational suite for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).


Integrating Sales and Finance for SMEs

The primary goal of this acquisition is to merge financial services with the initial stages of the sales process. Asaas plans to connect its payment and collection solutions directly with HelenaCRM's autonomous agent technology, which operates on popular messaging platforms. This integration allows Asaas to support businesses from the moment a lead is generated, well before a transaction occurs.

For customers, this translates into the ability to fully automate their sales cycle, from lead capture to final invoicing. Piero Contezini, Chairman and co-founder of Asaas, stated that clients can now utilize advanced conversational models to streamline their operations. This enhancement is particularly valuable on channels like WhatsApp, which is a primary tool for SME-customer communication in Brazil.

A Pattern of Strategic Expansion

This acquisition is the fifth in Asaas's history and the second of 2026, underscoring an aggressive growth strategy. Earlier this year, the company entered the insurance market by acquiring Mutuus, following previous purchases of Base ERP, CodeMoney, and Nexinvoice. These moves demonstrate a clear intent to build a multifaceted platform that addresses various SME operational needs beyond payments.

This expansion is fueled by strong financial performance and significant investor backing. The company, which posted R$ 563 million in revenue in 2025, has raised over R$ 1 billion from prominent investors like SoftBank, BOND Capital, and Vivo Ventures. Asaas is now aiming to reach an ambitious R$ 1 billion in revenue during 2026, leveraging acquisitions to accelerate its growth.

The Path to Full Integration

A phased integration plan has been established to ensure a seamless transition for all stakeholders. HelenaCRM will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary until the end of 2028, maintaining its own structure and growth strategies. The full unification of operations into the Asaas platform is scheduled for completion by the end of 2029.

The deal was bolstered by a significant pre-existing synergy between the two companies. Guilherme Rocha, CEO of HelenaCRM, noted that 35% of his company's partners were already active Asaas clients, highlighting a natural alignment in their target markets. This existing overlap is expected to facilitate a smoother integration and faster adoption of the combined services.
