Travel protection startup Faye has raised $50 million in Series C funding to expand its artificial intelligence capabilities, enter additional markets, and strengthen its distribution network across the travel industry. Madrona led the round, with participation from BRM and existing investors Portage, F2 Venture Capital, Viola Ventures, and Lumir Ventures, bringing the company’s total funding to $100 million. The financing supports Faye’s ambition to build a more autonomous traveler-care platform combining insurance, real-time assistance, claims management, payments, and other services within a single digital experience.

Funding and Expansion

Faye said its revenue doubled over the past year as demand increased from individual travelers and business partners seeking more flexible, technology-driven protection products. The company plans to use the new capital to expand internationally and deepen relationships with online travel agencies, airlines, cruise operators, hotels, travel agencies, and other businesses that can integrate its services directly into booking flows. Although Faye did not disclose a valuation in the announcement, media reports citing sources familiar with the transaction placed the company’s value at approximately $500 million.

AI-Powered Claims Management

A major focus of the Series C will be increasing automation across customer service, underwriting, claims assessment, and reimbursement processes while retaining human oversight for sensitive decisions. Faye expects artificial intelligence to resolve more than half of all claims autonomously by the end of 2026 and aims to complete 75% of remaining cases during the first customer interaction. The company currently automates a smaller share of claims and has indicated that denials will continue to receive human review as it prioritizes faster approvals, documentation checks, and payments.

Distribution and Financial Services

Faye sells its products directly through its mobile application while also providing embedded insurance infrastructure to travel companies through application programming interfaces and a dedicated advisor portal. Partnerships reportedly generate about 75% of the company’s revenue and include roughly 1,200 distributors, giving Faye a broad base from which to pursue larger airline, hotel, cruise, and online travel agency agreements. The new funding will also support its financial technology capabilities, including the Faye Wallet, which can deliver approved reimbursements and provide travelers with faster access to funds during disruptions.

Product and Market Position

Launched in 2022, Faye combines travel insurance with real-time trip intelligence, round-the-clock support, concierge services, telemedicine access, eSIM connectivity, lounge benefits, and digital claims management. Travelers can purchase coverage, submit documentation, communicate with support teams, and receive approved reimbursements through the company’s app, while distribution partners can integrate protection products into their own platforms. This dual model positions Faye as both a consumer-facing travel brand and a technology provider serving companies seeking to modernize the insurance and assistance experience.

The latest financing gives Faye additional resources to scale a platform that connects insurance, artificial intelligence, travel assistance, and embedded financial services in one offering. Its progress will depend on whether the company can expand distribution, automate claims responsibly, maintain service quality, and adapt its products to the regulatory and operational requirements of new markets. Successful execution could strengthen Faye’s position in a travel protection sector increasingly shaped by digital distribution, faster reimbursements, and AI-supported customer care.
