Cosmico, a European holding company focused on the future of work, has successfully closed a €12 million funding round led by P101 SGR. This significant financial injection coincides with the company's full acquisition of the creator agency Flatmates, a move completed two years ahead of schedule. These developments signal a period of accelerated growth and strategic expansion for the Milan-based group across Italy and Spain.

Fueling an Ambitious Expansion Strategy

The new financing, a mix of equity and debt, was spearheaded by lead investor P101 SGR with continued support from existing backers like Prana Ventures. This capital is earmarked to fuel the next phase of the group’s ambitious expansion strategy. The investment underscores strong investor confidence in Cosmico's vision and its ability to execute on its growth plans within the evolving work landscape.

A core component of this strategy involves significant merger and acquisition activity, with three new deals planned by the end of 2026. The company's M&A approach is twofold, aiming to broaden its footprint into new future-of-work segments. It also seeks to strengthen existing business units by acquiring competitors in its key markets of Italy and Spain.

Impressive Growth and Financial Momentum

This strategic push is built upon a foundation of remarkable financial performance and strong business momentum. The company closed 2025 with €24 million in revenue, marking an impressive 109% year-over-year growth. This acceleration has continued into the new year, with €20 million in sales already contracted within the first four months of 2026.

Looking ahead, Cosmico has set a revenue target of €40 million for the current year, driven solely by organic growth. This figure serves as a stepping stone towards a more ambitious long-term goal of achieving €100 million in revenue by 2028. These projections highlight the company's rapid scaling and its confidence in capturing a larger market share.

Strengthening the Creator Economy Vertical

The full acquisition of Flatmates marks a significant milestone, solidifying Cosmico's position in the burgeoning creator economy. Founded in 2021, Flatmates has become a prominent talent agency for creators, operating across Italy, Spain, and the United States. This strategic integration strengthens the group's Talent-as-a-Service offering and expands its international reach.

The agency boasts an impressive roster of over 60 clients, including major international brands such as Google, Ducati, and Xiaomi. Flatmates operates across several business areas, from talent representation and brand partnerships to original content production. Its community-driven philosophy aligns perfectly with the overarching mission of the Cosmico Group to place talent at the center of its ecosystem.

A Multi-Faceted Future of Work Ecosystem

According to CEO Francesco Marino, these developments reflect Cosmico's transformation from a single-product scale-up into a diversified holding company. This evolution is central to its strategy, enabling growth through both organic development and strategic acquisitions. The company is now structured to address multiple facets of the modern professional world with a comprehensive suite of services.

The group's ecosystem is organized around four complementary verticals designed to serve different segments of the market. These include Cosmico for digital professionals, Flatmates for the creator economy, Creative Harbour for community-based employee engagement, and Play New for AI-supported team design. This framework provides a robust platform for integrating future acquisitions and expanding its service portfolio.

With a fresh €12 million in capital and the full integration of Flatmates, Cosmico is poised for significant advancement in the European market. The company's clear strategy, combining strong organic growth with targeted acquisitions, establishes it as a formidable player in the future of work landscape. This dual announcement reinforces its commitment to building a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the evolving needs of modern professionals and creators.
