Helsinki-based location intelligence company CHAOS has secured €2 million to accelerate the rollout of its AI-powered platform for the real estate sector. The fresh capital will support both geographic expansion and product development as the company targets more data-driven decision-making across the industry. With this round, CHAOS positions itself as a specialist in turning fragmented urban data into actionable insight for investors, developers, and retailers.

Funding Round and Strategic Backers

The new funding round includes participation from CHAOS’s largest existing shareholder, Swedish investment firm Nidoco, alongside the Finnish state-owned financing company Finnvera. Their backing underlines investor confidence in the company’s ability to commercialize advanced analytics within a capital-intensive and highly localized industry. CHAOS will use the funds to deepen its presence across the Nordics and expand into the DACH region, focusing on customers who need faster and more precise market intelligence.

Scaling AI-Powered Location Intelligence

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Helsinki, CHAOS has built a platform that aggregates and interprets large volumes of data about cities and neighborhoods. The system analyzes how districts grow, how people move, how businesses perform, and what types of services are required in specific locations. By converting this complexity into clear outputs, the platform helps real estate stakeholders decide where to invest, what to build, and how to support both commercial performance and community outcomes.

Transforming Real Estate Decision-Making

CHAOS argues that real estate returns increasingly depend on the ability to make quick, localized decisions based on reliable data rather than intuition or slow manual research. Its tools are designed to replace time-consuming data gathering with AI-driven workflows that integrate multiple datasets into a single environment. The company’s leadership emphasizes that clients receive not only dashboards, but also concrete recommendations that support decisions from initial site selection through active asset management and eventual exit.

Human-Centric and Data-Driven Approach

Chief executive and co-founder Natalia Rincón-Eriksson frames the company’s mission as aligning profitability with more human-centric built environments. By making complex information understandable, she argues that CHAOS enables investors, developers, and planners to create projects that better reflect how people actually live, work, and consume services. This philosophy underpins the platform’s focus on neighborhood-level insights that consider demographics, services, and local assets, rather than relying solely on macro indicators.

Advanced AI Features and Target Customers

The CHAOS platform incorporates AI elements that help users compare neighborhoods, identify patterns, and surface relevant localized indicators without deep technical expertise. These capabilities are aimed at customers in real estate investment, property development, and retail who need to evaluate multiple locations rapidly and consistently. According to the company, the result is a redefined workflow where decision-makers can move from raw data to confident action in a fraction of the time required by traditional methods.

With this €2 million injection, CHAOS intends to cement its position as a specialist in AI-driven location intelligence for the European real estate market. The company is betting that demand for faster, more granular insights will continue to grow as investors and developers face tighter margins and more complex urban dynamics. If its expansion across the Nordics and DACH region succeeds, CHAOS could become a key technology partner for stakeholders seeking both stronger financial performance and more livable cities.
