Bengaluru-based athleisure brand BlissClub has successfully secured ₹160 crore, equivalent to approximately $16.8 million, in a significant funding round. The investment was led by Singularity AMC and saw participation from existing backers, signaling strong confidence in the company's trajectory. This fresh capital is earmarked to fuel the brand's ambitious expansion plans, including growing its retail presence and enhancing its product lines.

Strategic Investment for Expansion

The funding round was spearheaded by new investor Singularity AMC, marking a pivotal moment for the brand's growth. Existing investors Elevation Capital and Eight Roads Ventures also reaffirmed their commitment by participating in the round. Notably, founder Minu Margeret and her partner, Meesho co-founder Vidit Aatrey, contributed personal capital, underscoring their deep belief in the company's vision.

Fueling Omnichannel Growth

BlissClub has outlined a clear strategy for deploying the newly acquired funds to accelerate its growth. A primary focus will be on significantly expanding its offline retail footprint, which currently comprises over 40 stores across India. The capital will also be instrumental in strengthening product development and innovation to meet evolving consumer demands.

Beyond physical expansion, the investment will facilitate a strategic push into new product categories, building on its recent entry into menswear. The company also plans to bolster its team by hiring key talent to drive its next growth phase. These initiatives are designed to solidify BlissClub's position as a leading player in the competitive athleisure market.

From Digital Roots to Physical Presence

Founded in 2020 by Minu Margeret, BlissClub began its journey as a direct-to-consumer online brand focused exclusively on women's activewear. It has since evolved into a formidable omnichannel company with a multi-channel sales approach. This transformation reflects a successful strategy of blending digital convenience with the tangible experience of physical retail.

The brand's impressive growth is evidenced by its claim of a 60% year-on-year revenue increase for the past two consecutive years. Its products are now available through its official website, major e-commerce marketplaces, and its expanding network of physical stores. This diversified distribution model ensures broad accessibility for its growing customer base across the nation.

Investor Confidence and Market Outlook

Investor confidence in BlissClub's potential is high, as articulated by Sandeep Bapat, co-chief investment officer at Singularity AMC. He expressed admiration for how the team has thoughtfully built a strong brand in the rapidly growing comfort-wear and active-wear sectors. This funding is expected to help the company scale effectively across both its online and offline channels.

Founder Minu Margeret affirmed that the investment enables the company to "double down" on its core vision. She emphasized a continued focus on product innovation and expanding the brand's reach to more consumers throughout the country. This commitment to growth and customer engagement is central to BlissClub's forward-looking strategy.

This latest funding round of ₹160 crore positions BlissClub to significantly enhance its market presence and operational scale. By investing in retail expansion, product diversification, and talent, the brand is poised for its next chapter of growth. The strategic infusion of capital underscores strong investor belief in its ability to lead India's burgeoning athleisure industry.
