Livly was originally developed by FLATS, the multifamily operator now part of Collective Residential, to solve recurring operational challenges inside real communities. Its access control, package management, and smart home technology have become core capabilities of the platform. Embedding Livly into Bilt adds critical building infrastructure to a unified resident experience and gives operators a more connected way to manage their communities.

The acquisition reinforces Bilt's commitment to consolidating the fragmented technology stack that has defined housing for decades. Livly's integrations strengthen a unified solution that spans leasing, payments, resident engagement, access control, smart home technology, property operations, and neighborhood commerce. This makes it easier for property managers to deliver a consistent resident lifecycle from first tour to renewal, both within and around the home.

Bilt Founder and CEO Ankur Jain said most property management software was built to run buildings, not grow businesses. He explained that Bilt provides operators with a merchant network that drives demand from the neighborhood economy and AI agents that work across existing systems.
