AvalonX emerged from stealth and launched its continuous, AI-powered penetration testing platform. The Alpharetta, Georgia, startup received up to $10 million from Ridown Capital. Its platform targets small and midsize businesses.
Funding and investors
Ridown Capital is the investment arm of Ridown Group, led by Aaron Brown and Darren Ridge. The two co-founded Onecom, which serves more than 65,000 small and midsize businesses. Ridown Group reports revenues above $500 million in the U.K. alone.
Company and leadership
The company spent 18 months in stealth before its public launch in October 2026. CEO Craig Goodwin previously served as CISO at Fujitsu, Monster, and CDK Global. He leads the company with Ricardo Valdes and Ben O'Nion, who bring more than 50 years of combined experience.
How the platform works
The Artemis platform uses autonomous agents to test defenses the way a malicious actor would. Its Aether AI is trained on nine years of real-world offensive-security data and 60 billion dark-web records. External testing requires no software installation and returns plain-language results the same day.
AvalonX is available now through a monthly subscription. Findings map to SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS v4.0, and HIPAA. Businesses can run a free initial test at www.avalonx.ai.
