Multifamily data intelligence firm ApartmentIQ has secured a $25 million follow-on funding round from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE). This new capital builds upon SGE's previous investment in the company's 2021 Series B round, when it operated as the apartment marketplace Rentable. The funds are earmarked to accelerate the development of its artificial intelligence capabilities and expand its suite of data-driven products for the real estate sector.

Strategic Expansion and Product Innovation

The funding follows the launch of two new products, Explore Pro and Daylight, which leverage the company's extensive data. Explore Pro is a market research tool for acquisition teams, helping them identify prime areas for investment and redevelopment. Daylight functions as a sophisticated revenue management tool, powered by the same public data that has become the company's hallmark.

Both new offerings are demonstrating significant market traction and are on track to surpass one million customer units within their first year. This expansion signifies ApartmentIQ's strategic evolution from a marketplace to a comprehensive market intelligence and AI platform. The company's core platform already supports 1,500 portfolios and a majority of the industry's top players.

Pioneering Agentic AI with MavenAI

A major focus for the new capital is the launch of MavenAI, ApartmentIQ's innovative multifamily marketing agent. This platform represents the company's first significant foray into agentic AI, designed to automate complex tasks for property operators. MavenAI utilizes advanced software to uncover critical market insights and proactively take action on behalf of its users.

According to CEO Alec Slocum, MavenAI integrates directly with property management software to automate key marketing functions. The system uses AI to generate and publish posts to social media and Google Business pages, as well as update property pricing. This workflow transforms raw data into actionable strategies, driving efficiency for property managers.

Fueling Growth and Market Leadership

The investment from SGE will also fuel significant team growth, with hiring planned across engineering, data, product, and go-to-market departments. This expansion supports the company's rapidly growing customer base, which has now surpassed eight million units nationwide. Its platform is trusted by 70 percent of the National Multifamily Housing Council's (NMHC) Top 50 operators.

Slocum confirmed the company is profitable, positioning this funding as a strategic investment rather than an operational necessity. The firm plans to increase its current 135-person headcount by approximately 50 percent this year. Further product innovation is on the horizon, with two new data offerings anticipated for launch in the third quarter.

Investor Confidence and Future Outlook

Josh Elser, a managing director at SGE, expressed strong confidence in ApartmentIQ's direction and execution since the firm's initial investment. He noted the team has consistently translated product innovation into meaningful adoption across the multifamily industry. Elser highlighted the company's effective use of AI to provide real-time market intelligence, revenue management, and marketing automation.

SGE's continued financial backing underscores its belief that ApartmentIQ's platform is becoming increasingly critical for the sector. The investor's statement emphasized that the company is broadening its capabilities and solidifying its essential role for operators. This follow-on round signals a commitment to supporting ApartmentIQ as it scales into its next phase of growth.

This $25 million funding round marks a pivotal moment for ApartmentIQ, solidifying its transition into a leader in AI-powered real estate technology. With the launch of MavenAI and the expansion of its data intelligence tools, the company is poised to redefine operational efficiency. As ApartmentIQ grows its team and product offerings, its influence on how properties are managed and marketed will expand significantly.
