French construction-security company AMDB Security Pro has raised €2.68 million, approximately $3.1 million, in seed funding to support its expansion into the United States. The Lyon-based company said the round was backed by two American private investors, with proceeds earmarked for establishing a U.S. subsidiary, building local partnerships, recruiting an initial team, and advancing research and development. The financing marks a significant step in AMDB Security Pro’s plan to move beyond its domestic market and position its anti-theft technology in the larger U.S. construction equipment and rental sector.

Building a Presence in the United States

AMDB Security Pro plans to use the new capital to structure its commercial and operational presence in the U.S. ahead of a broader deployment targeted for 2027. The company intends to deepen relationships with rental businesses, insurers, and construction-equipment manufacturers as it works to adapt its go-to-market strategy to local industry requirements. Co-founder Pascal Oltra said the financing would allow the business to build its U.S. operations while continuing to expand its technology into additional equipment categories.

A Mechanical Approach to Equipment Theft

Founded in 2023 by Pascal Oltra and Kevin Kaarouche, AMDB Security Pro develops anti-theft systems designed for excavators, mini-excavators, and other construction machinery. Its core product uses a physical locking mechanism intended to prevent unauthorized machine starts, giving operators a preventive layer of protection rather than relying only on tracking equipment after a theft has occurred. The company says its system is designed and manufactured in France and is compatible with more than 100 brands of mini-excavators and construction equipment without requiring modifications to the machinery.

Product Designed for Harsh Worksites

AMDB Security Pro’s system is built from reinforced steel and is designed to withstand common physical attacks in demanding construction environments. The product incorporates a 120-decibel alarm, a secure key system, an internal storage compartment, and space for GPS tracking, combining physical immobilization with additional deterrence and monitoring features. According to the company, the design aims to provide construction contractors and equipment owners with a practical security tool that can be used on job sites, in storage areas, and during transport.

Funding Supports Broader Commercial Ambitions

The seed round follows a period of growing recognition for AMDB Security Pro, including a gold medal at the 2025 Concours Lépine for its construction-equipment security innovation. The company is now looking to extend the same engineering approach beyond excavators and mini-excavators as it develops products for a wider set of equipment categories and builds relationships with potential U.S. partners. Its expansion strategy is focused on serving rental companies, insurers, manufacturers, contractors, and equipment owners that face operational and financial risks from machine theft.

With €2.68 million in fresh seed capital, AMDB Security Pro is entering a new stage centered on international expansion and product development. Establishing a U.S. subsidiary and local operating structure could give the French company access to a much larger customer base while testing whether its preventive approach can translate effectively across different construction and rental environments. The coming phase will depend on AMDB Security Pro’s ability to convert investor backing into commercial partnerships, local adoption, and a broader product portfolio as it prepares for larger-scale U.S. deployment.
