Interloom, a platform designed to capture expert operational knowledge for AI agents, has announced a $16.5 million seed funding round. The investment was led by DN Capital, with participation from Bek Ventures and Air Street Capital. The company is already providing its unique corporate memory solution to major enterprises like Zurich Insurance, JLL, and Fiege to bridge the critical context gap in enterprise AI.

Addressing the AI Memory Gap in Operations

While artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly, its adoption in complex enterprise operations faces a significant hurdle. AI agents often lack the practical context of how work is actually performed, as an estimated 70% of operational decisions are never formally documented. This undocumented expertise, held by experienced employees, creates a barrier to effective real-world automation.

This challenge is intensifying due to major workforce shifts, including the "Great Retirement" phenomenon. As seasoned professionals exit the workforce, they take decades of invaluable operational knowledge with them, creating a significant risk for businesses. Capturing this departing expertise is crucial for maintaining operational continuity and enabling the next wave of AI-driven productivity.

Building a Continuously Evolving Context Graph

Interloom provides a solution by creating a missing memory layer for organizations. The platform observes and captures how operational experts resolve complex issues in their daily workflows. This captured knowledge is then structured into a continuously evolving model of decisions and outcomes called the Context Graph.

This dynamic graph functions as a "forever memory," making past resolutions accessible to both new employees and AI systems. By grounding future actions in previously successful outcomes, the platform ensures that work is guided by real-world experience. This approach moves beyond static manuals to create a living repository of institutional knowledge.

Similar to how mapping services use real-time data to optimize routes, Interloom’s memory grounds the actions of teams and AI agents. This enables the automation of highly complex workflows with greater precision and reliability. The system learns from the actual flow of work, improving its effectiveness over time as it processes millions of cases.

Investor Confidence and Strategic Vision

The funding round reflects strong investor confidence in Interloom's unique approach. Guy Ward Thomas, a Partner at lead investor DN Capital, noted that an AI agent is only as good as the knowledge it can access. He stated that Interloom stood out by building a corporate context graph that captures how organizations actually operate.

Fabian Jakobi, Interloom's Founder and CEO, reinforced this vision, explaining that AI agents require a company's specific memory to automate effectively. He emphasized that the platform grounds AI decisions in successful past resolutions, governed by expert oversight. This creates a permanent memory that remains with the company, regardless of personnel changes.

With this new infusion of capital, Interloom is poised to accelerate the development of its platform and expand its enterprise capabilities. The company is positioning itself as a foundational technology for the future of business automation. By ensuring AI can learn from and leverage an organization's accumulated experience, Interloom aims to unlock new levels of operational efficiency.
