Global professional services firm Accenture has announced its acquisition of Keepler Data Tech, a Spanish cloud-native AI and data company. The move is intended to enhance Accenture’s ability to deliver data and artificial intelligence solutions to clients in Spain and across the EMEA region. As part of the transaction, more than 240 professionals from Keepler will join Accenture.
Strategic Expansion in a Growing AI Market
According to Mercedes Oblanca, Accenture’s Market Unit Lead for Spain and Portugal, AI and data are increasingly central to how organizations reinvent their operations and remain competitive. She noted that integrating Keepler will strengthen Accenture’s end-to-end capabilities in data and AI, enabling clients to adopt these technologies securely and responsibly.
Founded in 2018, Keepler provides services across the data value chain, including data strategy, cloud-native data platforms, and advanced analytics, as well as generative and agentic AI solutions. The company focuses on helping organizations scale data-driven decision-making while maintaining strong governance and compliance practices.
A Shared Approach to Scaling AI Adoption
Juan María Aramburu, CEO of Keepler, stated that the company’s goal has been to help organizations achieve scalable outcomes from data and AI. He added that joining Accenture will enable Keepler to expand this approach and support clients at greater scale across Spain and EMEA.
The integration brings more than 240 professionals—including data scientists, engineers, and architects—into Accenture. Keepler teams based in Madrid, London, and Lisbon will contribute to delivering AI and data projects across industries.
Context of Continued Investment in AI Capabilities
The acquisition is part of Accenture’s broader strategy to invest in artificial intelligence and data capabilities. Keepler joins a series of previous acquisitions, including Faculty, Decho, and NeuraFlash, aimed at expanding expertise in AI-driven transformation.
The deal also reflects wider activity in the European technology sector, where both acquisitions and venture funding are contributing to the development of data and AI capabilities. Recent investments in Spanish startups such as Xoople and Qbeast highlight this trend.
Accenture’s acquisition of Keepler Data Tech strengthens its data and AI capabilities in Spain and across EMEA. By integrating Keepler’s expertise and workforce, Accenture aims to expand its ability to support clients in adopting AI and data solutions at scale.
