The Sanabil Accelerator by 500 Global has successfully concluded its eleventh cohort, culminating in a highly anticipated Demo Day in Riyadh. Eight promising early-stage startups presented their innovative solutions to a distinguished audience of investors and venture capitalists. This event marks a significant milestone for the founders, providing a crucial platform to secure funding and strategic partnerships for future growth.

A Highly Selective and Adaptive Program

The program demonstrated remarkable selectivity, choosing just eight companies from a competitive pool of over 690 applicants from across the region. This rigorous selection process underscores the high caliber of founders participating in the accelerator. The cohort engaged in an intensive 12-week program designed to refine business models and prepare them for scalable growth.

Running from April 5 to July 1, 2026, the accelerator adopted a flexible hybrid model to navigate regional market conditions effectively. The initial phases were conducted remotely, ensuring continuity and accessibility for the founders before culminating in in-person activities in Riyadh. This adaptive approach provided targeted mentorship, operator-led workshops, and invaluable access to global networks.

Diverse Cohort Tackling Regional Challenges

The graduating cohort showcases a diverse range of technological innovation, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and critical infrastructure technologies. The startups are building solutions across key sectors including fintech, healthcare diagnostics, insurtech, and cybersecurity. Their ventures are designed to address foundational challenges prevalent within the Middle East and North Africa region.

Among the graduates are companies like Carevision, which uses AI to turn a smartphone into a cardiometabolic risk scanner. Another innovator, Raid AI, specializes in detecting deepfakes to prevent digital fraud and identity theft. These companies exemplify the cohort's focus on developing practical, high-impact technologies for pressing modern issues.

Spotlight on Financial and Operational Innovation

The fintech and compliance sectors were also well-represented, with startups offering sophisticated solutions for businesses. IBEA addresses the common issue of late B2B payments by creating new revenue streams for buyers while providing suppliers with early capital access. Meanwhile, Xsquare offers a unified platform for businesses to manage their financial operations and cash flow efficiently.

Other ventures are transforming industries like hospitality and digital content creation. Emtethal leverages computer vision and IoT to monitor operational compliance in real-time for hospitality operators. In the creative space, Kami provides AI-powered tools that help content creators monetize their stories by turning them into immersive experiences.

Fostering a Thriving Ecosystem

Amal Dokhan, Managing Partner at 500 Global MENA, highlighted the increasing ambition and execution capabilities of founders in the region. She emphasized the program's commitment to empowering entrepreneurs with the capital, mentorship, and network needed to accelerate their growth. This support is crucial for building globally relevant companies that originate from the MENA ecosystem.

A spokesperson for Sanabil Investments echoed this sentiment, noting the cohort's relevance to long-term economic resilience. They reiterated the joint commitment to backing ambitious entrepreneurs who are developing solutions with both regional and global potential. The accelerator serves as a key pillar in providing institutional support to the next generation of innovators.

The successful conclusion of the eleventh cohort's Demo Day signifies another step forward for the region's burgeoning technology landscape. These eight startups are now poised to attract investment, forge strategic partnerships, and scale their operations significantly. With applications now open for the twelfth batch, the Sanabil Accelerator by 500 Global continues to be a vital force in shaping the future of innovation.
