The Youth4Climate Call for Solutions has launched its fourth round of funding and learning opportunities, presenting a global innovation challenge for youth and youth-led organizations engaged in climate action projects. This initiative aims to support new and existing youth-led solutions that are prepared for implementation or scaling. Since 2023, the program has allocated a total of USD 4 million in direct funding to 150 youth-led climate projects across 59 countries. The current call is open to youth from 158 countries and territories covered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), providing a platform to further develop ideas and projects through financial support and dedicated learning opportunities.
Funding and Program Details
• Grant Amount: Applicants can request up to USD 30,000 in seed funding.
• Project Duration: Proposals, if successful, can be implemented over a maximum of 24 months.
• Submission Languages: Proposals can be submitted in English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese. In the event of any discrepancy, the English version will be considered the authoritative reference.

Eligibility Criteria
• Individual Applicants: Young individuals aged 18 to 29 who meet all other eligibility criteria.
• Organizational Applicants: Legally registered, youth-led civil society organizations (CSOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), or companies where the majority of leadership is aged 18 to 29 at the time of application.
• Project Lead: The designated project lead for an organization must be aged 18 to 29 at the time of submitting the application.
• Geographic Requirements: The proposed project must be implemented in one of the countries listed in the Call for Solutions Guidelines document, and the project lead must be a national of one of the countries listed in the Annex of the same document.
Application Process
• Submission Portal: All applications must be completed and submitted through the official Application Portal.
• Required Documents: Applicants must complete and upload the official Budget and Workplan templates.
• Video Submission: A required video must be submitted as part of the application.
• Application Deadline: The final deadline to submit applications is April 30, 2026. Late or incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
Applicant Support and Learning Opportunities
• Deep Dive Webinars: A series of webinars designed to guide applicants through the application process, key guidelines, and thematic areas.
• 1-1 Online Mentorship: 45-minute online sessions with expert volunteers, supported by United Nations Volunteers (UNV), focusing on the technical aspects of the application, such as the workplan and budget templates. Registration will be opened on March 16, 2026.
• Project Design Bootcamps (PDB): A three-part interactive learning series to support young people in moving from ideas to projects and aligning them with policy frameworks. This is offered jointly by Y4Capacity and Youth4Climate.
• Learning Resources: A curated collection of courses, tools, publications, and references developed with partners to help strengthen proposals and solutions.
Post-Application Procedure
• Communication: Applicants should monitor their email and notifications for updates from the Youth4Climate team following submission.
• Review Process: Applications will undergo a multi-stage review process.
• Notification: Only selected awardees will be notified upon the completion of the evaluation process.
