The SWEF Enterprise Fund Business Grant is currently accepting applications to provide support for young entrepreneurs who are operating a new business within the Cheshire and Warrington regions. • Business Stage: The program is for those launching or running a new business that has been trading for under two years.
• Ownership Structure: Applicants must either be the majority shareholder of the business or ensure that all shareholders are between 18 and 30 years of age.
• Banking: A business bank account is required, or applicants must be in the process of setting one up, as grants are only paid into business bank accounts.

• Funding Amount: The SWEF Enterprise Fund awards business grants of up to £2,000.
• Fund Utilization: The grant must be spent within one month of receiving the funds.

Application Process

• Application Form: Applicants are asked to complete the application form as fully as possible.
• Business Plan: Submission of a business plan is not required.
• Reference: A reference must be provided in support of the application. The referee should be someone who knows the applicant’s business and skills, such as a tutor, previous employer, support worker, or mentor, and should not be a spouse, parent, or guardian.
