Program Eligibility and Scope

  • Target Participants: The challenge is open to global start-ups in the early to growth stages of development.
  • Company Age: Eligible ventures must be between 1 and 5 years old.
  • Sector Focus: Innovation areas of interest include wind energy, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), sustainable fuels, and AI-powered solutions specifically designed for the energy transition.

Phase 1: Pre-Registration and Initial Submission

  • Mandatory Pre-Registration: Interested teams must complete a pre-registration phase by 8 May 2026 to undergo initial validation.
  • Portfolio Submission Deadline: Validated teams are required to submit their formal portfolio or idea document by 5 June 2026.
  • Documentation Requirements: Submissions must be concise (up to 3 pages) and should incorporate a mix of text, design elements, schematics, and illustrations.
  • Initial Evaluation Criteria: The internal organizing team will review entries based on innovation, technical feasibility, market potential, and scalability.

Phase 2: Final Round and On-Site Presentation

  • Finalist Notification: Shortlisted participants will be officially notified of their selection on 12 June 2026.
  • Event Format: Selected finalists are required to attend an on-site presentation round to pitch their innovations in person.
  • Presentation Structure: Each team is allotted 10 minutes for their presentation, followed by a dedicated Q&A session with a panel of experts.
  • Live Judging Criteria: A panel of live judges will score participants in real-time based on clarity of communication, innovation, market fit, scalability, and the quality of their responses during the Q&A.

Awarding Process

  • Winner Selection: The declaration of winners is determined by the cumulative scores achieved during the on-site presentation round.
  • Outcome: This challenge identifies and spotlights the most promising energy solutions capable of driving the next wave of the global energy transition within the APAC region.
