Submit innovative tech proposals for a funded short-term trial with Cap Vista.

Organizer: Cap Vista Pte Ltd
Deadline: October 22, 2026
Categories: Funding , Competition/Challenge
Global

Solicitation 6.0 is a global innovation challenge organized by Cap Vista, inviting startups, companies, and academic institutions to develop innovative technology solutions addressing national security and defense challenges in Singapore. The program seeks commercially relevant, technically feasible, and scalable innovations, offering successful applicants the opportunity to demonstrate their technologies through fully funded short-term trials and potentially secure contracts for further development and deployment.

Key Challenge Areas

Solicitation 6.0 focuses on four technology challenges:

  • Radiological Decontamination: Portable, water-free solutions capable of removing radiological contaminants while minimizing secondary waste.
  • Resilient Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT): Technologies that maintain reliable navigation and positioning despite GPS interference, jamming, or spoofing.
  • AI-Enabled Counter-Drone Planning: Software solutions that rapidly generate, evaluate, and compare alternative counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) courses of action.
  • Underwater Security: Technologies designed to detect, disrupt, or intercept unauthorized uncrewed underwater vehicles in maritime environments.

Eligibility

The challenge is open to companies, startups, and academic institutions based in Singapore or internationally.

There is no general restriction based on a startup's funding stage. However, applicants are encouraged to demonstrate technological feasibility, implementation readiness, scalability, and evidence of previous testing or commercial adoption where applicable. Individual challenge statements may specify additional technical requirements.

Evaluation Criteria

Applications are assessed according to two main criteria:

  • Innovativeness and Relevance: The originality of the proposed solution and its effectiveness in addressing the selected challenge statement.
  • Technical Feasibility and Implementation Readiness: The solution's practicality, technological maturity, cost-effective scalability, and previous commercial adoption, where applicable.

Applicants should clearly explain their solution's competitive advantages, technical capabilities, potential deployment requirements, and measurable performance outcomes.

Application Timeline

  • Applications Opened: 8 September 2026.
  • Application Deadline: 22 October 2026, 06:00 GMT+1 (13:00 Singapore time).
  • Shortlisting: November 2026.
  • Pitching Sessions: Dates to be announced; conducted in a hybrid format.

Application Process

Applicants are required to complete the following steps:

  1. Register an account on the Cap Vista Accelerator platform.
  2. Select the relevant challenge and challenge statement.
  3. Download and review the Conditions of Contract (CoC).
  4. Complete the CoC annex proposal template.
  5. Submit the completed proposal in PDF format with relevant supporting documents.

Proposals should demonstrate the solution's innovation, relevance, technical feasibility, scalability, implementation readiness, and commercial adoption where applicable. Participants may submit multiple proposals addressing different challenge statements.

Selection Process and Funding Opportunity

Following the evaluation process, shortlisted applicants will be invited to present their solutions to a panel of challenge owners and technical experts. The pitching sessions will provide an opportunity to demonstrate technical capabilities, clarify implementation requirements, and address questions from evaluators.

Successful participants may be awarded a contract with Cap Vista to conduct a fully funded, short-term technology trial. These trials may include proofs of concept, experiments, or demonstrations designed to validate solutions in practical national security applications.

Solutions that demonstrate strong performance and deployment potential may be considered for further scaling and implementation.

Solicitation 6.0 offers technology innovators an opportunity to collaborate with Cap Vista on practical defense and security challenges through funded technology trials and potential contractual partnerships. With applications closing on 22 October 2026 at 06:00 GMT+1, shortlisted participants will proceed to evaluation and pitching activities beginning in November 2026. Applicants and interested organizations can consult the official program page, timeline and evaluation criteria, and FAQ for complete participation requirements and further updates.
