The Orbital Edge Accelerator program is currently accepting applications through a dedicated online submission form. The evaluation process is designed to be thorough, assessing each application for completeness, alignment with the program’s solicitation, and a clearly demonstrated need for access to the space environment. Applicants must complete all required sections of the online concept summary form to be considered.
Program Tracks
• The Sentinel Track: Seeks early-stage startups developing space technologies with dual-use potential.
• The Disrupt Track: Seeks pre-seed and seed startups focused on space biotechnology and advanced materials, including areas such as drug development and in-space manufacturing.
Application Process
• Submission Method: All applications must be submitted through the official online application form.
• Implementation Partners: Applicants are strongly encouraged to identify and engage with an Implementation Partner during application preparation. These organizations work with the ISS National Lab to provide specialized services related to payload development.
• Resource Directory: The ISS Research Facilities Directory is available as an online resource to help applicants identify research and technology demonstration capabilities on the International Space Station, including facility manager contacts and Implementation Partners.
Application Form Guidelines
• Saving Progress: The application form can be saved at any time by selecting the “Save and Exit” button. Applicants will receive an email with a link to their partially completed form, but access will end after the submission deadline.
• Submission Confirmation: After submitting the form, applicants will receive a confirmation email.
• Informative Tooltips: Supplemental guidance is provided throughout the form through tooltip icons marked with an “i,” which appear when hovered over.
• Offline Reference: A reference document outlining the information required in the online form is available for offline preparation.
• Response Length: Text responses should follow the stated character limits. A maximum of two typical-length paragraphs per question is preferred to support efficient review while maintaining clarity.
