Applications are now open for the 2026 Climate Tech Fellowship, a six-month hybrid pre-accelerator run by The New York Climate Exchange. The program supports early-stage innovators worldwide developing solutions at the intersection of energy and urban resilience.
Who Can Apply
The Fellowship is open to innovators globally, from pre-company formation through pre-seed stage. Applicants do not need to be incorporated or affiliated with a university.
Program Benefits
Selected teams will receive:
- A $10,000 non-dilutive stipend per team
- An expert-led go-to-market curriculum covering market mapping, customer segmentation, target markets, channels, and commercialization strategy
- Dedicated one-to-one mentorship matched to each team’s focus area and stage of development
- Expert sessions on fundraising, intellectual property, communications, and climate equity
- A personalized fellowship blueprint and monthly progress check-ins
- Introductions to investors, policymakers, and strategic partners through The Exchange’s global network
- In-person programming during Climate Week NYC in September, including a showcase for investors and partners. Travel and accommodation for one team member will be covered.

Expected Outcomes
Fellows will develop a clearer commercialization roadmap, strengthen their fundraising readiness, and expand their network of mentors, peers, potential investors, and strategic partners.
