Applications are currently open for the 2026 Pilot Cohort of the InvestoVilla Pipeline Development Program for Entrepreneurs (IPDPE). This initiative is a practical investment-readiness and fundraising support program designed to assist founders who are building ventures for African markets. The program aims to make these ventures more attractive to investors and better prepared to raise capital. Developed by InvestoVilla, a founder-investor platform from AM-Steve House, IPDPE equips founders with the necessary knowledge, tools, and support to enhance their fundraising readiness and investor engagement, focusing on practical application rather than traditional entrepreneurship training or pitch competitions.
Program Overview
• Focus: The program addresses the challenge of capital access for African entrepreneurs by helping them build investment-ready ventures.
• Approach: Rather than promising investment, IPDPE concentrates on strengthening business fundamentals through venture design, fundraising preparation, mentorship, peer learning, expert reviews, and practical assignments based on real fundraising activities.
• Target Audience: The program is designed for entrepreneurs who are preparing to raise investment or are building ventures capable of navigating investor due diligence and competing for funding.
Program Structure
The program spans approximately 18 weeks and is divided into two integrated phases:
• Phase I – Venture Readiness Clinic: Participants strengthen their ventures through activities including business model design, achieving product-market fit, venture assessment, fundraising strategy development, pitch deck review, Lean Canvas refinement, executive peer learning, and one-on-one consultations.
• Phase II – Fundraising Accelerator: Participants who advance to this phase receive practical support in areas such as venture finance, capital structure planning, advanced fundraising strategy, investor targeting, due diligence preparation, negotiation readiness, investor outreach planning, and fundraising execution.
Participant Benefits
• Support & Guidance: Selected founders will receive practical investment-readiness support and expert fundraising guidance.
• Feedback & Refinement: The program offers venture diagnostics, strategic feedback, business model refinement, and pitch deck reviews.
• Strategy & Tools: Participants gain access to investor engagement strategies and fundraising planning tools.
• Community & Mentorship: The program includes peer learning, accountability sessions, and mentorship from experienced venture-building professionals.
• Fundraising Support: Founders receive structured fundraising support, with an opportunity for qualified ventures to be submitted to actively deploying investment funds.
