Applications are now open for the 2026 Google for Startups Accelerator South Africa Program, a three-month hybrid initiative for growth-stage technology startups. The program is designed to provide South African-led startups with access to Google's programs, products, personnel, and technology to help them scale their impact. The accelerator is scheduled to commence in September 2026 and will run until December 2026.
Program Details
• Global Series of Programs: Each cohort, comprising 10-15 startups, collaborates to address technical challenges through a mix of remote and in-person activities, including one-on-one sessions, group learning, and sprint projects.
• Dedicated Expert Help: Founders define their primary technical challenges and are matched with experts from Google and the industry to resolve these issues and promote business growth.
• Specialist Deep Dives: The accelerator includes workshops and in-depth sessions focused on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development for founders.
• Google Product Benefits: Eligible participants receive Early Access Program and Trusted Tester benefits for Google’s AI products. Startups can also apply for Cloud credits, subject to eligibility, and may receive free Cloud TPU access to accelerate open-source machine learning research.
