The Falling Walls Lab is an international pitch competition that provides a platform for students and early-career professionals to present their innovative ideas. Each participant is given three minutes to showcase a breakthrough concept that has a positive impact on science and society. The initiative connects science, business, and society, aiming to identify and support groundbreaking ideas and discoveries across various disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
• Who Can Apply: Students and early-career professionals from all disciplines.
• Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
• Academic Requirements: Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled at a university as a student.
- Received a Bachelor’s degree no more than 10 years ago.
- Received a Master’s degree no more than 7 years ago.
- Received a PhD no more than 5 years ago.
• Degree Equivalency: An MD (medical degree without a doctoral dissertation) is considered equivalent to a Master’s degree. A Dr. med. (medical degree with a doctoral dissertation) is considered equivalent to a PhD.
Important Guidelines for Applicants
• Nature of the Event: Falling Walls Lab is a pitch competition, not a grant-awarding agency.
• Application Scope: Applicants are advised to apply to the Falling Walls Lab geographically closest to them.
• Travel Costs: Travel expenses to and from local Labs are not covered by the Falling Walls Foundation. Travel and accommodation for international Labs will not be covered unless otherwise specified by local organizers.
• Application Format: Applications must be submitted in English by individuals; group applications are not permitted.
• Submission Policy: Submitting multiple applications is not allowed. Once an application is submitted, it cannot be edited.
• Participation: This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and past participants are not eligible to apply again.
• Cost: No ticket purchase is necessary to apply to an international Falling Walls Lab.
