Creative Destruction Lab Melbourne (CDL-Melbourne) is a mentorship program for early-stage, science- and technology-based ventures with differentiated, scalable, and defensible solutions. Hosted by Monash Business School in partnership with Creative Destruction Lab, the program supports deep-technology ventures across Australia and the Asia-Pacific by connecting founders with experienced entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, and operators. CDL charges no fees and takes no equity. Globally, CDL operates across 16 locations in 10 countries and has supported more than 7,500 founders representing over 4,000 ventures, with more than 1,700 graduates generating over CAD $60B in equity value.

Program Structure
• CDL-Melbourne includes three full-day, in-person objective-setting sessions in Melbourne.
• Ventures work with mentors in curated sessions to review progress and set clear short-term objectives.
• Founders receive guidance on strategy, prioritization, execution, technology validation, and commercialization.
• Graduating ventures are strongly encouraged to attend the optional Super Session in Toronto, which brings together ventures, mentors, investors, and industry partners from CDL locations worldwide.
Ideal Candidates
• The program is suitable for early-stage science and technology companies across the Asia-Pacific.
• Ideal applicants are founder-led ventures with differentiated, scalable, and defensible solutions.
• Ventures should have novel technologies, typically around Technology Readiness Level 4–6, and a team positioned to bring the innovation to market.
• University affiliation is not required.
