Funding Tiers and Benefits
Cloudflare offers three tiers based on startup funding and investor affiliation:
- Tier 3 - $10,000: For bootstrapped or self-funded startups with less than $1 million raised. No affiliated investor required.
- Tier 2 - $100,000: For startups with less than $5 million raised and funding from a Cloudflare-affiliated partner. Includes technical sessions and potential account management support.
- Tier 1 - $350,000: For startups with $5 million or more raised and backing from a Cloudflare-affiliated partner. Includes priority technical support, account management, and biweekly Solutions Architect office hours.
All three tiers include core enterprise security and networking benefits.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must generally meet the following requirements:
- Be a for-profit startup incorporated within the last 10 years.
- Be developing an active technology product.
- Be bootstrapped or funded up to Series B, meeting the applicable funding and tier requirements.
- Have a verifiable public company presence, including activity on LinkedIn, X, or GitHub.
- Apply using company-domain contact information.
- Not have previously been approved for the program.
Educational institutions, personal blogs, consultancies, service agencies, managed service providers, and resellers are not eligible.
Application Process
Startups can apply directly through Cloudflare without purchasing a third-party membership.
Applicants create a Cloudflare account, provide company and funding information, and submit their application for review.
Cloudflare evaluates eligibility, determines the appropriate credit tier, and approves applications at its discretion. Approved startups receive access to their allocated credits and program benefits.
Key Terms and Conditions
- Credits are valid for one year and cannot be extended.
- Credits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- R2 storage credits are capped at $10,000.
