Applications are currently open for the CAFE Fintech Accelerator Program 2026. The Center for Accelerating Financial Equity (CAFE) has designed this program recognizing that scaling a fintech solution requires more than just funding; it necessitates strategic partnerships, industry credibility, and timely access to key relationships and opportunities. The program provides a hands-on, immersive two-month experience where mission-driven founders can gain direct exposure to financial institutions, regulators, and investors. Through expert-led sessions, customer pitch opportunities, and a collaborative community, CAFE offers a platform for startups to accelerate growth and navigate complex industry landscapes.
Program Benefits
• Extensive Networking: Participants will engage with over 40 financial services executives, investors, regulators, and other key changemakers, with relationship-building starting from the first day.
• Expert Guidance: The program delivers actionable insights and hands-on support in critical areas such as selling to financial institutions, regulatory compliance, AI and fintech applications, and risk management.
• Equity-Free Model: The accelerator does not take equity, allowing founders to retain full ownership and focus on scaling their impact.
• Proven Success: Alumni of the accelerator have successfully secured funding, forged strategic partnerships, and expanded their customer base through the program.
• Experienced Leadership: Participants gain access to CAFE’s leadership and expert network, which includes seasoned fintech professionals who provide in-depth, practical advice.
Eligibility Criteria
• Company Status: Must be a technology company based in the United States.
• Product Stage: Must have a built product that is currently in-market.
• Customer Base: Applicants should have an initial customer base, which includes selling to financial institutions.
• Team Commitment: The company must have a full-time founding team.
• Mission Alignment: The product must be designed to improve people’s financial lives, with a focus on low- to moderate-income (LMI) individuals.
• On-site Participation: Founders must commit to being present for 3 days in Newark, DE during the program.
