The BCDD Funding Support Scheme is inviting applications to provide financial assistance to graduates from Backward Classes for launching and growing technology-driven startups. Introduced by the Government of Kerala, the scheme is implemented by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in collaboration with the Backward Classes Development Department (BCDD). The initiative aims to promote inclusive entrepreneurship and strengthen participation within Kerala’s startup ecosystem.

Funding Information
• Total Financial Support: Up to ₹10 lakhs per startup.
• Idea Grant: Up to ₹3 lakhs for concept validation.
• Productization Grant: Up to ₹7 lakhs to support prototype development, market entry, and early growth activities.
Eligibility Criteria
• Applicants must be graduates from Backward Classes (OBC).
• The age of applicants must be between 23 and 40 years.
• For the Productization Grant, OBC founder(s) are required to hold at least 80% shareholding in the startup.
• The startup must possess an innovative, technology-based product.
Application Requirements
• Company incorporation as a Private Limited Company, LLP, or OPC is mandatory before fund disbursal.
• Obtaining a KSUM Unique ID is required before funds are disbursed.
• Applicants are permitted to apply with only one idea at a time.
• Two grants cannot be sanctioned to the same applicant simultaneously.
