In a partnership with Foundervine, an award-winning social enterprise dedicated to helping entrepreneurs from under-represented communities, Barclays presents the Black Founder Accelerator. This program is specifically designed to champion inclusion across the startup ecosystem and to showcase businesses led by Black founders, providing them with a platform for growth and success.
Program Benefits
• A series of 12 expert-led business strategy masterclasses covering topics such as value proposition, talent acquisition, sales strategy, marketing, and intellectual property.

• An opportunity to showcase your business to potential clients and investors at a founder showcase event at the conclusion of the program.
Applicant Criteria
• Business: Must be a UK-registered business that uses digital technology to operate or deliver its value proposition. The business should be ready to scale, indicated by being at the seed stage or beyond, having received investment, or launching a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
• Founder/Team: At least one founder or C-suite member must self-identify as Black or of Black heritage. Applicants should have proven expertise in their industry and be available to attend all masterclasses over the 12-week period.

Application Process
• Stage 1 - Written Application: Candidates who meet the specified criteria must complete the online application form.
• Stage 2 - Interview: Shortlisted applicants will participate in a 30-minute video interview with representatives from Barclays and Foundervine.
• Stage 3 - Final Selection: Successful applicants from the interview stage will receive an invitation to join the accelerator and will have two days to accept.

Program Support and Opportunities
• Delivery Format: The program is delivered primarily online, with select in-person networking sessions for the cohort.
• Mentorship: Each participating company is paired with a mentor selected for their relevant expertise. Mentors provide regular advice on business growth and scaling.
• Founder Showcase: The program culminates in a showcase where selected founders pitch to an audience of potential investors and industry professionals.
• Post-Program Support: Both Barclays Eagle Labs and the Foundervine Community continue to offer support and advice to cohort members after the program concludes.
