Companies admitted to the Arctic Business Incubator may qualify for an investment in the form of a 400,000 SEK convertible loan from Arctic Ventures. Admission Criteria
The selection process is based on an overall assessment of potential according to the following parameters:
• Innovation: The idea must be new and innovative, which can be in the form of new technology, a new business model, or another novel concept.
• Business Model: The venture should have clear export potential and the capacity to generate revenues exceeding 30 MSEK within a few years.
• Funding Plan: Applicants must demonstrate a clear plan and the ability to attract necessary funding.
• Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): The IPR situation, including source code and ideas, must be clarified, with freedom to operate and potential for protection.
• Team: A minimum of two dedicated individuals with a balanced profile, ready to advance the company.
• Company Status: The enterprise must be a Swedish limited company (aktiebolag) based in northern Sweden, either newly formed upon admission or at most five years old.
• Sustainability: The company's operations and offerings should contribute to the sustainable development goals of Agenda 2030.
• Presentation: A demonstrated ability to effectively pitch the team and the business idea.
• References: Positive references from previous co-workers or managers are required.

Program Costs and Structure
Participation in the Arctic Business Incubator involves a fee structured as an annual royalty of SEK 105,000. For a standard two-year program, the total royalty amounts to SEK 210,000. Companies have a five-year period following their exit from the incubator to pay this amount. If the royalty cannot be paid back within this timeframe, the debt is written off. All terms, including facility use and confidentiality, are governed by a membership agreement.
