Oslo-based AI startup Visoid has successfully closed a $2.5 million funding round to advance its architectural visualization platform. The investment, led by Skyfall Ventures, will fuel the company's international expansion and product development efforts. Visoid aims to streamline the design process for architects by rapidly transforming 3D models into high-quality, photorealistic renderings.

A New Paradigm in Architectural Visualization

Visoid's platform integrates into existing architectural workflows, offering a departure from traditional rendering methods. It transforms 3D models into superior visualizations in minutes while preserving the architect's original design intent. This approach allows for faster iterations on concepts and materials during the crucial early phases of design.

Unlike general AI image generators, Visoid's technology is tailored for the architectural industry's specific needs. The software works directly with models, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout a project's evolution. This focus helps architects communicate ideas more effectively and make better-informed decisions without cumbersome rendering processes.

Strong Investor Backing and Industry Adoption

The funding round was led by Skyfall Ventures, showing strong confidence in Visoid's market potential. Participation included existing investors StartupLab, OBOS, and Antler, joined by new backers Farvatn and the byFounders Angel Collective. This diverse group provides both financial capital and strategic expertise to guide the company's growth.

Since its 2023 founding, Visoid has gained significant traction among leading global architecture firms. Prominent clients such as OMA, LEO A DALY, Sweco Group, and Nordic Office of Architecture are using the platform. This early adoption by industry leaders validates the demand for a more efficient and integrated visualization tool.

A Vision Shaped by Industry Expertise

The company was co-founded by former architect Mark Szoke, who is CEO, and serial entrepreneur Joachim Holwech. Their combined expertise provides a unique blend of deep domain knowledge and proven commercial acumen. Investor Preben Songe-Møller praised the founders for their technical depth in AI and natural commercial instincts.

CEO Mark Szoke noted the rapid adoption by architects, who have used the same software for decades. "We don’t need to sell it to them, they simply want it themselves," he stated, highlighting the platform's intuitive appeal. This enthusiastic reception forms the foundation upon which the company is building its future strategy.

Co-founder Joachim Holwech emphasized that architecture requires more than just aesthetically pleasing images. "Architects need AI that understands their models, preserves design intent and fits naturally into professional workflows," he explained. Visoid is designed to meet these professional requirements, enhancing rather than replacing the architect's creative process.

Fueling Future Growth and Innovation

With the new capital, Visoid plans to expand its operational capacity and accelerate its product roadmap. The company will focus on growing its engineering, product, and commercial teams to support its next growth stage. The current team of nine employees is expected to double in size by the end of the year.

A key priority is developing new AI capabilities tailored for complex architectural workflows. The funding will also be used to expand the company's international customer base and deepen partnerships with leading architecture firms. These initiatives are designed to solidify Visoid's position as a leader in AI-powered design technology.

This $2.5 million investment marks a pivotal moment for Visoid, empowering the company to scale its solution globally. By providing architects with a tool that is both powerful and seamlessly integrated, Visoid is poised to redefine industry standards. The company's focused approach on enhancing professional workflows promises a significant impact on how architectural concepts are developed.
