Palestinian-founded ticketing platform Tzkrti.com has announced the launch of its Cultural Impact Fund, a significant new initiative aimed at supporting creative projects throughout the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) region and the global Arab diaspora. This program is designed to address structural challenges within the arts sector by providing direct financial assistance to independent cultural producers. The fund represents a commitment to nurturing grassroots talent and strengthening the vibrant, diverse cultural landscape.

Empowering Grassroots Cultural Production

The Cultural Impact Fund will operate on a biannual basis, awarding two microgrants of USD 3,000 during each cycle to promising projects. This financial support is specifically targeted at independent artists, grassroots collectives, and community organizers who are often overlooked by traditional funding institutions. The initiative aims to empower these creators, enabling them to bring their unique artistic visions to life and foster deeper community engagement.

Eligibility for the fund extends across a wide spectrum of the arts and music ecosystem, including live performances, festivals, multidisciplinary arts, and the development of cultural spaces. By focusing on projects that demonstrate strong cultural relevance and a clear community impact, Tzkrti seeks to cultivate a more resilient and self-sustaining creative environment. The initiative is a direct investment in the foundational elements of the region's independent cultural scene.

A Strategic Commitment to the Arts

Co-founder and CEO Rogeh Khleif highlighted the complexities of the cultural field, noting its heavy reliance on individual and institutional donors. He emphasized that Tzkrti, as a key link between audiences and artists, has a responsibility to contribute to the sector's stability and growth. The Cultural Impact Fund was established to provide a new stream of support, helping independent initiatives to thrive and continue their vital work.

This initiative is fully funded by Tzkrti, distinguishing it from conventional grant programs and underscoring the company's long-term vision. The strategic objective is to redefine the role of a technology startup within the Arab cultural landscape, moving beyond purely commercial interests. Tzkrti aims to become a catalyst for cultural experiences that celebrate diversity and bridge the gap for the over 30 million Arabs living in the diaspora.

Application Details and Future Outlook

The application process for the fund's inaugural cycle will run from February 1st to February 28th, 2026. Projects will be evaluated by Tzkrti based on a set of key criteria, including originality, potential for community impact, and their contribution to the development of the local cultural scene. This selection process ensures that the grants are directed toward initiatives with the greatest potential for meaningful influence.

The first two successful grantees are scheduled to be announced in early April 2026. Beyond the financial award, selected projects will also gain visibility through 'Tzkrti Stories,' a digital content series featuring visual reports and short videos. This platform will showcase the stories of the artists and communities who are redefining Arab creativity, amplifying their voices to a wider audience and documenting their impact.

The launch of the Tzkrti Cultural Impact Fund marks a pivotal step in supporting the independent arts scene across the SWANA region and its diaspora. By providing direct, non-restrictive funding, the platform is investing in the very fabric of cultural production and fostering connections that transcend geographical boundaries. This initiative not only empowers individual creators but also strengthens the entire ecosystem, promising a more vibrant and sustainable future for Arab culture.
