Treble Technologies Raises $18 Million in Series A-2 Round

Funding led by Paladin Capital Group to expand acoustic simulation and synthetic audio data for physical AI

Treble Technologies, a leader in sound simulation and synthetic acoustic data generation, announced on 17 September 2026 that it has raised $18 million, approximately €15 million, in a Series A-2 round led by Paladin Capital Group. Existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, and the European Innovation Council Fund also participated in the financing. The new capital brings the company's total funding to date to €36 million and will support its expansion in the United States.


Funding Round and Market Expansion

The financing reflects growing demand among device makers and AI developers to use voice and sound as a critical interface between people and intelligent machines. Treble plans to extend further into audio-enabled products for consumer and enterprise applications while also expanding into physical AI. Its simulation technology helps manufacturers and AI model developers train, test, and improve products across a wide range of real-world acoustic conditions.

Bringing Sound to Physical AI

Physical AI refers to intelligent systems that perceive, understand, and act within the physical world, and Treble is positioning itself within this emerging field. While development has largely focused on vision and touch, voice interfaces and audio intelligence require products to interpret sounds amid background noise, diverse rooms, and different microphone placements. The challenge grows when devices move through complex acoustic environments, as seen in wearables, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles.

Treble has worked with Amazon and Logitech, two companies that use voice as a key interface for intelligent devices. Wontak Kim, Senior Audio Research Manager at Amazon, said the company relies on Treble to create accurate and scalable virtual acoustic environments for product design and model development. Andy Harper, Head of Audio AI and Signal Processing at Logitech, noted that the platform enables strong engineering conclusions through high-fidelity physics simulations.

Audio Digital Twins Accelerate Development

Treble's platform combines acoustic simulation, digital twins, and synthetic data generation to recreate how sound physically moves through space. This capability allows companies to replace slow and costly physical recordings with digital acoustic replicas of rooms, materials, vehicles, devices, and ambient conditions. By evaluating products before building physical prototypes, teams can reduce testing and data collection from months to days while improving audio AI model performance and robustness.

Paladin Capital Group views robotics as a driver of automation across the physical world, yet many robots remain limited to visual perception. François Ruether, Vice President at Paladin Capital Group, said Treble's simulation platform can help robots integrate visual and auditory inputs for safer and more useful operation. The firm believes this multimodal audio intelligence will be essential for robots working in human environments.
