On Monday in Bangkok, Taiwan Tech Solution Day gathered Thai corporate leaders, investors, and ecosystem partners with 11 Taiwanese technology startups for an afternoon focused on cross-border innovation. The event was jointly organized by Startup Island TAIWAN and Taiwan Startup Terrace, initiatives under the National Development Council and the Ministry of Economic Affairs. It served as a lead-in to Techsauce Global Summit 2026 and highlighted Taiwan’s interest in practical partnerships across Thailand and the wider ASEAN market.

A Coordinated Cross Ministry Effort

The gathering reflected a coordinated effort between Taiwan’s national startup brand and a government startup initiative to internationalize promising companies and open market access. According to organizers, Taiwan’s foreign direct investment in Thailand reached US$870 million across 131 projects in 2025, ranking Taiwan sixth among foreign direct investment sources. This investment base and Taiwan’s reputation as a reliable technology partner provided the foundation for deeper startup engagement.

Complementary Strengths and Local Trust

Startup Terrace International Talent Exchange Center Manager Tsai Hsin-lun noted that Taiwanese hardware capabilities are a key advantage for Thai startups seeking collaboration. She added that in a shifting supply chain environment, many Thai companies see Taiwanese products as more trustworthy and are looking for cooperation. Thai participants also observed that Taiwan’s geographic proximity and high-tech reputation make its startup ecosystem an attractive partner.

Market Insights from Industry Leaders

The opening remarks by Economic Division Director Hsien-Chao Joseph Tseng emphasized Taiwan’s role as a trusted partner in trade and investment. Worapoj Chosen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CHOSEN Digital, discussed how Thai demand and Taiwanese hardware capabilities can complement each other in areas such as energy management. Manwoo Joo, Chief Executive Officer of Gogolook Thailand, explained that Whoscall’s early collaboration with the Royal Thai Police helped build trust and now supports 25 million users in the country.

Pitch Showcase and Sector Focus

During the Taiwan Startup Pitch Showcase, the delegation presented solutions spanning healthcare, sustainability, energy, AIoT, enterprise software, and consumer technology. Participating companies included ADVMEDS, AiStyle, Apollo Power, BBOX, CarbonClean Energy, ekoXense Enterprise, GitHouse, Godspeed IT Service, MIND INTERVIEW, Optiqb AI Technology, and Yenprotek AIoT. Two Thai startups, Pakjai.org and GetLinks, also delivered short pitches to the audience.

Panel Discussion on Localization

The day closed with a panel discussion on building the Taiwan Thailand innovation corridor, moderated by Allen John Ku. Panelists included Warit Chamwudhiprecha from LINE Thailand, Manwoo Joo, Chayutthon Kim-An from Bitkub Ventures, and Yente Yu from Crescendo Lab. Warit highlighted an AI adoption gap between large corporations and SMEs, while other speakers stressed pricing strategy, early partnerships, and measurable pilots.

Techsauce Global Summit 2026 Participation

Following the Bangkok event, the 11 Taiwanese startups will join Techsauce Global Summit 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from August 26 to 28. Startup Island TAIWAN and Taiwan Startup Terrace will host a joint Taiwan Pavilion where the companies can meet international corporates, investors, and ecosystem partners. The organizers will also speak at the summit’s Muay Thai Stage on August 26 at 1:00 p.m. and August 28 at 1:10 p.m.

Taiwan Tech Solution Day demonstrated that Taiwanese startups are moving beyond introductory visits toward structured market entry in Thailand. By combining hardware strengths, investment relationships, and localized collaboration, the organizers and participating companies positioned themselves for commercial opportunities in the region. The continued presence at Techsauce Global Summit 2026 is expected to expand these conversations to a broader Southeast Asian audience.
