Swap Commerce, a discovery-to-delivery platform serving the next generation of e-commerce, has acquired Vizby, a Shopify-native AI visibility platform. The deal, the company's first acquisition, adds Swap Discovery to the front of its product suite, extending the company from AI-powered product discovery through checkout, fulfillment, and returns. The move builds on Swap Commerce's earlier launches of its agentic Storefront and Checkout+ and gives brands a single platform for the entire commerce journey.

Expanding Into AI Discovery

Vizby helps e-commerce brands understand and improve how they appear and sell across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot. Its technology now powers Swap Discovery, a new AI visibility layer at the front of the Swap Commerce platform. This addition turns Swap Commerce into an end-to-end agentic commerce system that spans a shopper's first AI interaction through delivery.

A Response to Shifting Consumer Behavior

AI is quickly becoming a new starting point for e-commerce, and brands are prioritizing visibility inside AI interfaces. In a Swap Commerce study conducted with Digiday of more than 100 brands, 62% identified improved brand discovery as their single most important goal for agentic commerce. As shoppers increasingly discover products through AI systems, brands need to be understood, recommended, and trusted by these platforms.

From Visibility to Revenue

Swap Discovery evaluates how a brand appears across leading AI platforms for high-intent prompts and benchmarks that performance against competitors. It identifies gaps preventing discovery and generates prioritized actions to improve visibility. Unlike tools that stop at reporting, Swap Discovery executes changes natively in Shopify, including structured data, editorial content, schema, agents.md, product audits, and AI-driven revenue attribution at the product or SKU level.

Leadership Perspective

Sam Atkinson, Founder and CEO of Swap Commerce, said that every brand asks the same first question about agentic commerce: whether AI will recommend it. He explained that Swap Discovery helps brands influence that first moment of discovery and then own the experience through purchase and delivery. According to Atkinson, this gives brands one platform for the full journey instead of stitching together a collection of point solutions.

Founder Alignment

Eylon Zefania, Co-Founder of Vizby, said brands could see they were invisible to AI and had no way to fix it. He noted that joining Swap Commerce and creating Swap Discovery lets the technology become part of a platform that can act on visibility and carry the customer journey forward. The combined offer, he added, covers the whole journey from sale through delivery in one place.

Early Proof Points

Vizby customers have already recorded measurable gains from AI visibility optimization. VIGO Industries increased AI sessions by 91.3% in two weeks after starting with no measurable AI presence, and AI-driven traffic reached approximately 3% of total revenue after schema and content improvements. By bringing that discovery layer into Swap Commerce, brands can connect AI visibility directly to the shopping, checkout, delivery, and returns infrastructure that follows.

Platform Ambitions

Founded in 2023 by Sam Atkinson and Zach Bailet, Swap Commerce built the first agentic storefront, replacing static websites with immersive, agent-led commerce experiences. The company now aims to create a discovery-to-delivery platform that helps brands get discovered by AI, convert demand through agentic shopping experiences, and unlock global markets from checkout to delivery. Swap Commerce is trusted by more than 1,000 brands and provides infrastructure for cross-border operations, returns, tax, and global compliance.

The acquisition positions Swap Commerce as a broader player in agentic commerce by connecting AI visibility to purchasing and fulfillment. Rather than relying on separate point tools, brands can manage discovery, sales, and delivery in one platform. If early customer results are an indication, the integration of Vizby's AI optimization capabilities could help more merchants turn AI attention into meaningful revenue.
