Vienna-based deep tech firm SOMAREALITY has successfully closed an oversubscribed Series A funding round, securing over €3 million. The investment was led by Catalyst Romania, with continued support from existing investors including MT-Lab, RDY Ventures, Moondust Ventures, and Gateway Ventures. This capital injection will fuel the company's mission to provide real-time cognitive insights through its advanced eye-tracking software.

Decoding Cognitive States Through Eye-Tracking

SOMAREALITY's technology decodes complex cognitive processes by analyzing eye movements that are closely linked to functions like attention, memory, and decision-making. The software provides real-time insights into states such as cognitive load, fatigue, and overall performance. This innovative, hardware-agnostic approach enables accurate and personalized results after only a few seconds of data collection, making lab-grade analysis highly accessible.

The company's solution is offered through flexible local integration, web-based services, and soon, on-chip deployment for seamless operation on wearable glasses. This versatility supports its growing adoption across various demanding sectors. Its product suite began with the flagship Cognitive Load biomarker and has since expanded to include metrics for conscious perception, attention, and fatigue.

Proven Commercial Traction and Market Growth

Since launching its first biomarker in 2024, the company has generated over €2 million in B2B revenue, demonstrating strong market validation for its technology. SOMAREALITY more than doubled its revenue in 2025, a testament to its effective growth strategy and the increasing demand for cognitive insights. The platform is gaining significant traction in high-risk industries like aviation, healthcare, and professional sports.

This impressive growth has been fueled by strategic alliances with global eye-tracking hardware manufacturers and software distributors across all continents. These partnerships have been instrumental in establishing a strong international foothold for SOMAREALITY's behavioral insights platform. The company has successfully proven the commercial viability and appeal of its unique technological approach in a competitive landscape.

A Vision for Broader Accessibility

Co-founder Adrian Brodesser emphasized the company's proven success in the B2B sector as a foundation for its next phase of expansion. He explained that the renewed interest in wearable eye-tracking and personalized health creates the perfect opportunity to enter the consumer market. This strategic shift aims to democratize access to cognitive analysis, which was previously confined to specialized laboratory settings.

Strategic Investment for Future Expansion

The over €3 million investment will be allocated to expanding existing B2B segments, launching longitudinal studies on cognitive health, and executing the B2C market entry. Alin Stanciu of Catalyst Romania praised SOMAREALITY for rethinking entire industries by turning data into profound insights about the human mind. He expressed confidence in the team's ability to build a global leader in this emerging space.

This successful Series A funding round marks a pivotal moment for SOMAREALITY, validating its innovative technology and strong market performance. The capital will empower the company to scale its operations, bridge the gap between specialized B2B applications and the broader consumer market. Ultimately, this investment solidifies SOMAREALITY's position as a leader in making cognitive analysis universally accessible and practical for diverse applications.
