Solinftec, one of Brazil's most prominent agricultural technology companies and a growing global player, is moving through a significant leadership and strategic transition. The company is repositioning artificial intelligence as the central foundation of its next growth phase while adjusting its executive structure. Recent departures have returned founders to the front line of innovation and product development, setting the tone for a faster pipeline.


Executive Departures Signal a New Phase

Denis Arroyo Alves announced his departure as global vice president after two and a half years in the role, sharing the decision publicly on LinkedIn. Henrique Nomura, a nine-year veteran and chief technology officer for the last seven years, also left in a more discreet process, and other lower-level employees exited as part of the move. The company has not officially commented, but the changes surprised many observers who follow the agtech closely.

Founders Step In to Accelerate Innovation

Company sources told AgFeed that founders will assume leadership of the affected areas at least in the short term. The goal is to impose a new rhythm on the innovation pipeline and accelerate solutions tied directly to artificial intelligence. A person familiar with the strategy said the vision is to position Solinftec increasingly as a root AI company.

A Company Built on Automation and AI

Founded in 2007 in Araçatuba, São Paulo, by a group of Cuban engineers led by CEO Britaldo Hernandez, Solinftec started with automation projects for the sugarcane energy sector. It later expanded into grains, fibers, citrus, coffee and forests, while building a multinational manufacturing presence in Brazil, the United States and Mexico. The company expects revenues of 500 million reais this year and has raised approximately 1.5 billion reais from investors including TPG Group, YvY Capital and Unbox Capital.

From Alice Platform to Physical AI

Artificial intelligence has been embedded in Solinftec solutions since the past decade through the Alice platform developed under co-founder Leslie Gonzáles. At the most recent Agrishow, the company presented Alice Multiagentes, an architecture of specialized AI agents that can act without waiting for user queries. Founders now want to strengthen AI applications inside equipment and advance physical AI, converting technology into concrete autonomy for field operations.

Why Field-Level Results Matter

Solinftec has reported reductions of up to 15 percent in pesticide use, about 25 percent in fuel consumption and up to 50 percent in machine efficiency in grain and sugarcane operations. Its solar-powered Solix robot uses computer vision to identify weeds and control herbicide application, with some cases showing more than 90 percent reduction in herbicide use. These results illustrate how root AI can lower operating costs and improve sustainability across large farming areas.

What Producers and Investors Should Watch

The transition is being framed as a cultural change requiring leaders who can reduce bureaucracy and increase speed in testing and learning. For producers, the promise is a shift from AI that reports data to AI that supports automatic decisions in logistics, input application, machine settings and planting windows. The next months will be decisive in showing whether the root AI strategy translates into new field products, contracts and measurable results for large groups and cooperatives.


Solinftec is entering a period of executive renewal and deeper technological focus that could influence how Brazilian agriculture adopts artificial intelligence at scale. The return of founders to strategic roles suggests a more direct management style and a stronger integration between AI, robotics, and daily farm operations. Producers, investors and competitors will now watch closely for concrete evidence that root AI can consistently deliver lower costs, greater efficiency and more sustainable field outcomes.
