Brazilian startup Smart Hotéis, founded in Ilhabela, São Paulo, has signed a commercial agreement with United States hotel management firm At Mine Hospitality. The partnership will deploy its automation platform across a portfolio of 25 boutique hotels in destinations such as Miami Beach, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Key West, San Diego, and Seattle. With the expansion, the company projects it will manage more than 1,000 rooms and support over US$30 million in annual managed revenue by the end of 2026.

Platform Capabilities and Origins

The Smart Hotéis technology acts as an integrated operating system that unifies marketing, sales, service, and guest journey management. It connects everything from initial customer acquisition to core operational processes such as check-in and digital key access. The design focuses on enabling a more efficient, personalized, and seamless experience for guests throughout their stay.

Validation and Brazilian Expansion

The platform originated eight years ago at the Reserva Ilhabela hotel, the company's first property. After four years of practical validation within hotel operations, the model was expanded to units in Campos do Jordão and Santo Antônio do Pinhal. These destinations with distinct market profiles helped prove the technology's adaptability and performance across different regional environments.

Boosting Direct Sales

According to the company, the solution focuses on increasing direct sales without intermediaries and reducing operational costs. Founder Márcio Franco said the Smart Site has raised direct sales to more than 50%, saving millions of dollars in fees that would otherwise be paid to large booking platforms. He added that preserving a larger share of revenue from each reservation is just as important as selling more directly.

Reducing Operational Costs

The company also reports that the Smart Agent virtual assistant and automated email and messaging flows can reduce hotel expenses by about 30%. Franco explained that acting simultaneously on cost reduction and direct sales growth can double a hotel's final result. The combined impact on profitability is therefore especially significant for independent operators seeking leaner operations.

Early Results in the United States

At Mine Hospitality operates as a boutique hotel management company focused on revenue optimization and operational efficiency for investors and independent owners. CEO and Partner Matteo Soldatini said the initial implementation has already produced strong results for local operations. He noted that the potential is enormous for small and medium independent hotels, delivering both economic and operational benefits.

A Scalable International Model

The platform's artificial intelligence model can be integrated with existing property management systems without interrupting daily operations. Franco argued that hotels in different countries face similar challenges related to sales, service, cost control, and guest loyalty. Automation gives managers a clearer view of where they are earning and losing money while supporting scalability across regional markets.

Smart Hotéis' expansion into the United States highlights growing global demand for hotel technology that improves efficiency and reduces reliance on third-party booking channels. The partnership positions the Brazilian startup to end 2026 with more than 1,000 managed rooms across different hospitality segments. By combining artificial intelligence with practical hotel operations, the company aims to support independent properties in achieving stronger financial results and more direct guest relationships.
