Siena, an AI-driven customer experience platform for consumer brands, has closed a $17 million Series A round led by York IE. The round included Joyance Ventures and existing investors Aglaé Ventures and Sierra Ventures. It brings Siena's total funding to $29.7 million as the company advances its Agent of Record platform.

Expanding a Shared Customer Intelligence Layer

Siena plans to use the capital to build more autonomous agents and expand the infrastructure consumer brands use to serve customers and grow revenue. Its Agent of Record platform acts as a shared intelligence layer for customer-facing agents, internal agents, and human teams. This connects support, shopping, social, voice, retention, and customer insights.

How Siena's Agents Operate

Siena's Shopping Agent and Social Agent work around the clock, answering questions, recommending products, and closing purchases directly in conversations. On social channels, the platform handles moderation, community engagement, and customer support across comments and direct messages. Voice agents draw on the same customer context, and a shared inbox lets human and AI teams work side by side.

Enterprise Controls and Siena Intelligence

Enterprise controls include A/B testing on live traffic, a Quality Suite that grades agent performance, and Autopilot for building agents faster. Siena Intelligence brings together conversations, orders, subscriptions, reviews, loyalty data, and brand knowledge. A customer's return reason can inform the next shopping recommendation, while recurring product issues become visible across the brand.

Customer Adoption and Measurable Results

Hundreds of consumer brands, including FIGS, SPANX, Comfrt, and HexClad, now use Siena, which automates up to 80% of customer interactions. Eskiin's Social Agent lifted weekly comment engagement by 50% and freed up 15 hours per week for its social lead, while Coterie turned a weeks-long customer analysis project into a ten-minute query. At SPANX, Siena Intelligence traced a shipping complaint spike to a single carrier issue affecting nearly every delivery in one region, helping the team resolve it quickly.

Leadership Perspectives

Tom Holahan, General Partner at York IE, said Siena is rebuilding the customer experience stack around customer intelligence, connecting how brands serve, sell to, and retain customers. He added that York IE believes Siena can become as essential to running a brand as its commerce platform. The investor's comments reflect Siena's broader ambition to unify channels that are often managed as separate departments.

Founder Commentary

Lisa Popovici, cofounder and President of Siena, said that support, shopping, and social may be different departments, but to the customer they are one relationship. Cofounder and CEO Andrei Negrau added that the same understanding helping an agent resolve a conversation can help a founder decide what to build next. He said Siena's ambition is for agents to manage the entire customer journey with that context.

What Comes Next

As Siena deploys its Series A capital, the company plans to deepen autonomous capabilities and expand the customer intelligence foundation used by consumer brands. The goal is to ensure insights learned in one interaction travel with the customer across support, commerce, social, and voice channels. This unified layer is intended to help teams make faster decisions about campaigns, products, and operations.

Siena's Series A round highlights rising investor confidence in AI-powered customer experience platforms that move beyond simple automation. By positioning itself as the Agent of Record, Siena wants customer understanding to become a shared and durable asset across every brand function. With fresh capital and expanding deployments, the company is advancing toward a model where agents manage the entire customer journey.
