The funding will be used to establish the company's first production facility in the United States, spanning 180,000 square feet. All flying surfaces remain enclosed while driving, and the vehicle transforms from driving to flying mode in about three minutes at the push of a button.

Samson Sky designed the Switchblade to solve regional travel needs between 200 and 500 miles. The company has reported demand from 50 countries worldwide and from each of the 50 states in the United States. Its successful official first flight took place in November 2023, moving the program toward production.
